  1. The boots are back. Looks like the cobbler has put new soles and heels on them.
Nice snug outfit for Camilla in tartan with just a climpse of lace peeping out at the end of the sleeves.
I like the smart tailored suit worn by the lady in photo N°6.
I'm sure the Hospice was pleased to have a royal visit.
The people behind the scenes in these establishments do an amazing job.
And a lot of them are volunteers who look for nothing other than to help others.

Camilla has combinated this outfit well. I love the tartan coat & boots. She makes the European cold look cosy. Mary

Horrible that stiff British coat dress or dress coat whatever. The boots are back again too and are even worse than I remembered from last winter.

    1. I looked at the boots ; they look better on pic1 than on one of the last ones, normal she did some tree planting in the meantime. I feel sure that if she decided to change the boots, she would come up with very similar ones. They are quite appropriate for a 70y old lady. (I have sympathy for the boots, I have the same ones).
I feel sure many citizens would appreciate less money spending from royal ladies. I know they are representing the country ... and have therefore needs...

I'm over 70 and I would not wear those boots even if they gave me a lot of money to do so. My boots are up to date and not old fashion like in the seventies or eightees. The same for her coat : I can't see myself in a thing like that. There are a lot of good classic coats in beautiful wool and colors that everyone can wear older and younger ladies. Look at Duchess Kate or Princess Mary of Queen Mathilde. They all wear classic winter coats in wool and are much more elegant than Camilla.

Not quite sure what is particularly British about this coat. Or indeed why British is being used as some kind of negative adjective?

Indeed, it is the official start of boot season. Fingers crossed, she explores a new color or two. The colors of her coat are nice on her, and the cut is very flattering. ~d

  5. I like the bright colors on Camilla. I don't mind the boots, they look fine withe the coatdress and don't compete. I also like the charcoal fitted skirt suit from the other lady pictured, very flattering.

    1. @Marie : You'd have a job on your hands getting those boots off Camilla.
They are like a second skin to an aristocratic, horses and hounds, country lady.

  7. I don’t understand. What do so many of you find wrong with the boots?

I'll take the boots any day over those toe-cap shoes. ~Laurel~

A classic coat in bright colours.
I think it suits her very well.

  10. Camilla looks perfect for the occasion. A vibrant coat which personally I like and the boots are fine.

  11. Ma première pensée a été "Tiens, les bottes sont de sortie" ; il est vrai que c'est la saison mais il me semble que son manteau dans des couleurs automnales et dans un tissu plus souple auraient mieux convenu plutôt que ces couleurs trop vives !

I love these tartan coats with the velvet details on Camilla. It looks so "cosy" with the wonderful colours. At the same time the coat ( robe-manteau?) is very chique and really representing the British style.

Love the colors of this tartan coat. I would love to see her wear a pair blue velvet heels with it. Matching the velvet details on her coat.

British Style? How many people do you see walking around in Britain wearing these coats? No, Camilla has terrible taste in clothing… there I said it. One thing is for sure, she is loyal to her own style, like her hair for example, ever so popular in the 80’s..
*****warning**** to all the defenders of the British Royals, nothing personal here, I simply can’t like her fashion sense.

    1. No offence taken :-) However, I like this coat --I have something similar in navy and green tartan, not bought here in Scotland but from an American label! However, I do believe that Camilla chooses comfortable, timeless classics which suit her. She does not claim to be stylish or fashionable--very much in the same mould as Princess Anne, and to some extent Countess Sophie. They can't compete with Queen Sonia or Princess Benedikte but I'd not call them terrible.

I think she looks fine. I like the colours of the coat and it looks warm for the recent chillier weather.

I don't understand the hatred of the boots - they're a pair of bog standard boots. She's obviously comfortable in them which is fine when she is on her feet for a while.

She isn't a slavish fashionista but she's found a style that works for her.

Not fond of the colors or the pattern of the fabric. The shape of the garment is good, but then with the black boots back again, would have looked better with dark stockings and shoes. clarice
