On Tuesday, ahead of United Nations' World Children's Day, The Countess of Wessex hosted an afternoon tea for four young ambassadors from The Scar Free Foundation at St James’s Palace. Delilah, Elizabeth, Abi and Emily met with the Countess at the palace along with their mothers, Brendan Eley, CEO of The Scar Free Foundation and Amanda McKechnie, also from the charity. They shared their stories of living with scarring and how The Scar Free Foundation supports them.

  1. I like the skirt, beautiful color and nice silhouette. It might be a tad long. The scarf brings the colors together nicely. I am not loving these boots with this outfit though, maybe a camel color would have looked better? But she looks lovely, and great charity.

  2. What a worthwhile and compassionate cause. All the ladies and children looked very nice. If the Countess's skirt was a few inches shorter, it would have been better. The tucked-in mulberry colored sweater is not, in my opinion, the best choice for this skirt. Sophie's hair is beautiful, and her makeup is perfect.

  3. Sophie, is as ever, a lovely lady. I like all the parts of her outfit but am not sure I like them as a whole. Her outfit is perfect for the occasion and a good effort at relaxed business style. I would suggest she use another scarf--it ties together with the skirt but clashes with the top. Had she chosen a black the scarf would have been a great finishing touch. One major issue I have--Sophie needs a good tailor or seamstress because all of her midi skirt or dress lengths are too long on her--she is not tall enough to keep them at the midi length, they turn into maxi lengths. By not shortening the hemlines I often feel things are off balance with her ensembles.

  4. Avec sa blondeur, l'association de ces couleurs lui va à merveille mais Sophie n'est pas avantagée par la longueur de sa jupe ; plus courte de quelques centimètres, elle permettrait de mieux voir ses bottes ou bottines ?!

  5. I do not like Sophie's outfit. The style of the skirt looks heavy, the burgundy sweater tuck inside is not very flattering, the print of the scarf does not really go with the outfit and the grey boots is a bad choice. Too much going on. I understand she went for a more casual look, but in my opinion it is a miss.

    1. I agree. In the publicity of Alberta Ferretti I read it is a "high waisted midi skirt". Always a risk if you are not extremely thin. She should also look in her closet again and find a sweater that matches better with the green of the skirt. The same for the scarf and the boots.

  8. That side photo should not be published, not at all flattering at all, I am sorry to say.
This design of skirt needs someone wafer thin.
The only thing I like are her gorgeous boots.
