  1. MM 'scoat is a hit or miss.
On the model it looks OK, and also in the video clips I saw of her at this event it looked OK. However I don't like it as we see it in these photos. It might look better buttoned up but I'm not sure if that look would work on MM.

Maxima's dress is lovely and the way she wears it proves that horizontal stripes don't necessarily look bad on everyone.

  4. Oh my--not too sure what to think. CP M-M looks wonderful in terms of hair and make-up. I might even like her dress but that trench coat--uh, well, it can look ok in one shot and then stiff and bulky in another. Maybe if she had buttoned and belted it I would like better. Really wish she had left it in the closet. Queen Maxima--the style of her dress is great but that fabric--NO. I love blue and tan together but the tan fabric looks sheer from a distance and is disconcerting--just not to my taste. I'm also trying to figure out what she's wearing on her head or in her hair. She looks great in terms of her hair and make-up though. I would give the fashion award to King W-A except his trousers are pooling around his ankles! He's a tall man--hard to understand why his trousers are so long.

  5. It is a miss for Princess Mette-Marit, that coat is ugly.

  6. I love MM' look. Maxima needs some new shoes and hosiery. Even though they are both wearing stripes, I find them complimentary, it works somehow.

  7. Knowing MM she chose this coat to honor the dutch. She alway honor the country who visit or the country she visit through her cloths. Here through the dutch flag. MM looks good in Oscar de la Renta and Max looks good in Jantaminiau.

  8. MM is a beautiful woman but here she mixed two types of clothes that don't go together i.m.o. The navy dress is beautiful. The sleeveless trench coat (it is described like that but I do not see the trench shape) looks more like a sleeveless summer dress to me.

  9. Maybe MM choose this…thing because it is in the colours of the Dutch flag: red- white-blue.
Blue is a good colour for MM,.

  11. Horizontal stripes does not look good on anyone, even on these two lovely Royal Ladies. Would like to see MM's navy blue dress without the coat, it is a good colour on her. Leo

  13. I think the same hair dresser has been allowed to attend to both ladies. The entire trip they have both had their hair styled in more or less the same manner and what a difference it makes to both of them.
Navy blue really suits Mette Marit. The striped coat should be renovated into throw pillows tomorrow morning at the latest. Maybe they can use Maxima's frilled hat/hair thing to snip up and use as filling for the pillows. I thin. It just makes the dress look tatty.

  14. I like both outfits. They both have lovely hairstyles.

MM really does have the most striking cheekbones.

  15. Honestly, the stripey shapeless thing Mette-Marit is wearing is amongst the worst clothing choices I've seen a royal make during the last couple of months.
