On October 21, 2021, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited the Da Vinci College in Perwez (Walloon Brabant) and met with students of the last year of secondary education. The Queen spoke with them about the 2030 Agenda and the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. The 'Da Vinci' college in Perwez is a secondary school founded on the basis of an innovative project in 2014.

The visit was made as part of the commemorations of the 75th anniversary of the United Nations Charter, which has been postponed by one year due to the pandemic. As a result, information days on the UN and multilateralism are held at various secondary schools. United Nations Day is celebrated on October 24 every year.

  1. Looks good in many respects, except the hair turned towards the outside, which is aging QMathilde.

    1. I would very much like to know how and why hair turned towards the outside ages someone. - Maybe you mean hair turned outwards is not very fashionable, so it reminds you of olden days and because of this you confer the the concept of outwards turned hair being old-fashioned to the person herself? I simply don't get it. In my humble opition this hairstyle does not make her look even one single day older or younger applies to her other usual (non-revolutionary) hairstyles as well. (-Ann)

    2. I agree with MaryT. I said it myself several times and I say it again : when Queen Mathilde her hair is turned towards the inside she is looking so much better and younger. She had her hair often that way in the past. Look at the older pictures of her.
Outfit of today is very nice. It is a good color for her and suits her very well.

    3. Thank you -Ann. I have been wondering the same. I think her hair is conservative as it is, and curling it under seems more conservative. ~d

      What is your point?

    5. Oh yes Josh, true. Probably because that's what strikes me most, when I see that hair style.

  2. Well I see this suit is nice and appropriate , good color and the heels are ok. The hair looks a little bit matte.

  4. This is a nice look for Mathilde. Her jacket is finally the right length. I like that she has worn her blouse untucked, letting us assume her waist is at a lower place. The cut of her pants is very flattering on her as well. The only thing I don't care for is the blouse itself. I am not fond of the print or the neckline, but those are personal preferences. ~d
