The Spanish Royal Family watched a performance at Teatro Real

Crown Princess Leonor wore a patterned dress from Hugo Boss, Infanta Sofia wore a checked coat from Springfield

King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia went to Teatro Real (Royal Theater) in Madrid on Sunday night to show their support for the cultural sector which is recovering its activity with the moderation of coronavirus restrictions. The Royal Family watched the opera performance "Peter Grimes" by Benjamin Britten. Peter Grimes, Benjamin Britten’s first opera, is about a misanthropic loner who is hounded to self-destruction by his fellow townspeople after two mysterious, but accidental, deaths.

Not a cheerful opera - and Britten can be hard work! But good on them for supporting this hard hit sector.

Clothes wise they all look fine - personally I think I would prefer a different coat for Sophia's look with a slightly more tailored cut. Just a personal preference.

I very much like the Queen's blouse which is a very pretty colour. Leonor is my favourite here - she looks amazing. I love the pairing of the dress with the ankle boots.

    1. I think you're confounding the girls; Leonor is the one with the coat and Sofía is wearing the dress with the ankle boots.

    2. Sorry, I think I've made a mistake and you were right about the girls. It's not easy to recognize them with these masks!

  3. The Spanish royal family always supporting the cultural sector. They are great. Leonor and Sofía are divine and I love how they are dressed. The queen's pink top is divine and I love her leather jacket.

  5. What grown up young ladies. They are developing styles of their own, with influence from their stylish mom. They all look fabulous.

They all look great as usual I prefer young ladies in sporty clothes like on this occasion , although I am aware that they have dress more formal for official events. Leonor looks smashing, I think I have seen the queen wear that dress before or at least the same model but in black and white.
Sofia looks very stylish and the queen casual and perfect.

Not one of Letizia's best fashion moments, too black. Not surprised one of her girls is wearing Hugo Boss obviously their mother's influence. Must be nice to have access to Hugo Boss. Mary I

    1. I'm not going to say that anyone can have access to Hugo Boss garments, but a biker jacket like the one Leonor is wearing has currently a retail price of around 450 Euros on the brand's website. It's not a low cost item, but it's not unaffordable either. In any case, the biker jacket in question is a loan from her mother, and has been in Queen Letizia's wardrobe since 2013.

  9. Like Europa, I am finding it difficult to tele the princesses apart here. I take it from the comments above that the girl who is taller than her mother is Sofia. Although, she has been slightly taller than her sister for a while I thought that Leonor must have had a growth spurt and overtaken her. So, Sofia, I like the top half and the shoes, not so keen on the trousers. Leonor, I love the whole look, She is young enough to get away with dress plus boots which looks strange on someone older. I like the Queen's pink blouse and jacket but the trousers are not flattering and the flat shoes make her feet look really big for her petite frame. Nice to see them all out at an event like this.

I love Sofia's total look. I didn't like that jacket on Leonor but love it on Sofia; but then the girls are older & taller now. I've always been drawn to Sofia, I think she's beautiful & she certainly looks very stylish here & seems to have Letizia's posture (but not as exaggerated). I look forward to seeing Sofia's beautiful face again soon - maskless! ~Laurel~

¿Letizia tiene una postura exagerada? OMG, lo que hay que leer :)))

Dear Angie: I said I didn't like the jacket on Leonor but that I love it on Sofia, so I know - I know - Leonor had worn it before. So... "jaja". Nothing wrong with thinking something looks better on one person than on another. The girls are older/taller & the jacket looks better now. Or maybe Sofia can carry it off better than Leonor can.

And yes, Letizia's posture is exaggerated, it's changed since their wedding... just sayin'. I've been following them since before the wedding (and, dare I say, before her new face - not that it matters).

My opinion... your opinion. Such is life.

@Mary I, why the sarcasm about “ it must be nice to have access to Hugo Boss”?
Firstly is not like HB is high couture, that would be Valentino, Chanel, Oscar de la Renta and a few others. Secondly the Spanish Royal family are rather measured regarding designer clothing, so if you were to cast aspersions you could find better examples. Finally, why visit a fashion site where the people featured are of obvious means? and whether this is right or wrong warrants a deeper debate and not on this forum.
Your comment sounds bitter and a little envious.

I just want to clarify that the Hugo Boss brand is also Haute Couture and belongs to Valentino Fashion Group.

  13. Hugo Boss is certainly a high-end brand, but not at all Haute Couture. I have some clothes of the brand which cost approximately 400 € for each item, real haute couture costs a lot more and I wouldn't be able to afford haute-couture prices!

@P, no it’s not Haute Couture regardless of who bought it, is mass produced, can be bought at department stores and relatively speaking is affordable.

No, sorry, Hugo Boss has two sections: mass produced items , which can be found in department stores too, and the haute couture collection.

I agree with you, Angie. There is an obsession about their height. I am not sure why. Another compulsion people seem to have is the need to comment on who children resemble in the family. It never fails. It would be nice if they could just look like themselves, as an individual. Oftentimes, that resemblance comes with an expectation. ~d

@ P, it’s “facts” that elusive little thing nowadays.
In spite of accurate information to the contrary you continue to deny these facts. There is plenty of factual information about HB that confirms that they aren’t a haute couture firm.

I can see you lack some basic and factual information.
The Hugo Boss Haute Couture collection is called " Black", the other three sections are pret a porter and sportswear.
I doubt you can find the Haute Couture collection in department stores.
Maybe looking for further correct information can be of some interest or help.
