This year the Norwegian Festival of Literature took place in Lillehammer. NORLA arranged a number of webinars for international contacts from May 25th to the 28th. NORLA has collaborated with the Norwegian Festival of Literature since it was first held in 1995. Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, who is the ambassador for Norwegian literature abroad, attended official opening of Lillehammer’s new rights centre. The Crown Princess also appeared in conversation with the author Gulraiz Sharif – at a meeting which took place at her official residence, Skaugum.

  1. I love the last picture of CP Mette-Marit. The colorful books in the background, the interesting items in the foreground, the adorable dog, and, of course, M-M's natural beauty, altogether, create a beautiful tableau. The first three photos suffer from too much of the same color. I admire the princess for her love of reading and her campaign to instill that love in the children of Norway.

  2. Toujours aussi charmante, j'aime voir Mette-Marit sur la dernière photo en compagnie de l'un de ses chiens très attentionné et à qui, elle fait peut-être la lecture ah, ah !!! Très printanier le petit pot de fleurs de couleur violette !

Great color for MM. She is glowing. The fit of the dress looks terrific, though the sweater looks a little tight. I think this is the best outfit I have seen her in in quite a while. ~d

I think she looks absolutely wonderful here. White is a gorgeous colour for her complexion, and the simplicity of the dress and cardigan suits her so well. I much prefer these clean- lined clothes to the ruffles, bows and ditzy prints that she often chooses. (V.M.)

  5. The Crown Princess looks fresh, simple & chic! And I can only assume that they own the most beautiful home in-and outside from what we can see sometimes. Nice taste in decor and design:)

    1. The official residence in Norway for the King/Queen in waiting is
known as Skaugum Estate. It is certainly not a Disney style castle but more off what could be called a manor house or a working farm.
I think the inside is probably more interesting than the outside.
A bit more information, if you're interested on ......

  8. I have never thought that Ingrid-Alexandra looked like Mette-Marit, but in the third picture above, I can actually see a similarity.

The cream dress looks beautiful. The cardigan is a nice addition but is too tight.
Mette-Marit is glowing in these photos.

Of course it looks to tight. We can reflect over the fact when we lean forward or push our arms one way or another clothes always looks tight. Why do we always have to be so negative? Mette- Marit looks happy, healthy and lovely. Anne.

    2. The cardigan IS tight. Just look at the sleeves and the fit around her armpits. That´s not being negative. I like how she looks and literally wrote that in very positive terms (dress - beautiful, cardigan-nice, Mette-Marit - glowing).

I love Mette-Marit, she looks fresh and chic, no fancy jewelry, this off white dress is a good choice for the occasion. Well done.

The photos with her sweater on, her arms/hands do not look so tan, as compared to the last photo. She is lovely, graceful, elegant, and classy, jj

The dress is a pretty color on her and it fits perfectly. It is not too tight!
