  1. Again, the Emperor is wearing a tie to complement the colour of the Empress's outfit.
Such a minor, simple point like that can speak better than a thousand words.
As for the Empress's outfit ........... magnificent.

The fact that the Emperor nearly always matches his tie to the Empresses' outfit sends a strong and subtle message of harmony as a couple. I love that.
The colour of Empress Masako's outfit is refreshing and so appropriate for Spring. If only she had worn a different style hat, it would have taken her overall look from charming to outstanding.

    1. I agree but I must admit I have no opinion on the hat.

I completely agree, Anon 9:13. Your assessment is spot on, down to the hat. It is so unflattering, covering her face. Maybe Masako will decide to try a new style some day that will show her beautiful face. ~d

I so agree, d. She has a lovely face and there are so many lovely hats, even in a conservative style (if that is the reasoning behind the Imperial Household's choices for her) that would suit and look so flattering to Empress Masako. She is a lovely lady. We can only hope and keep our fingers crossed.

I absolutely adore this shade of mint green, but rarely find a great look with it.

Well, here it is! E Masako looks fabulous! Absolutely perfect in every way, plus a coordinated tie makes it next level.

Beautiful tailoring as usual, and a fresh springlike colour. I’d love to see her experiment a bit more with her hats. Perhaps that will come in time. (V.M)
