  2. Lovely to see Queen Maxima again. I've missed her and a great event where she can use her own particular skills. Sadly, I can find no love for the dress, which I think is absolutely awful

Love the dress and the color looks great on her.

  4. This is truly one of the worst creations I have ever seen. It even looks bad on the model. It clings in all the wrong places and somehow non of the fabrics seem to go with any other. Perhaps a great conception carried out in totally non suitable fabrics. This is the second time I have seen her in it it was just as bad the first time.

She has not a clue stylewise. She should hire Mary of Demark’s stylist.
O dear, I have just uttered criticism on Maxima. Some on this forum will be hurt again.

I'm also very happy to see Maxima again. It's been a while.

As for the dress, It is beautiful as shown on the bottom far right of the last photos, but is definitely not a style I would choose for Maxima.
Her figure proportions and the dress do not match. I also prefer the dress as full length instead of the midi version Maxima is wearing. However as long as she is sitting down and we can only see the top part, it does no harm.

Oh my, I thought the messy hair was bad, then I saw the dress. Who would pay good money for that mess of fabrics. It really is not good looking. nelie

Maxima’s hair looks fabulous! Very full, very healthy and I love straight blow-out.

  8. For those who want to dress with some originality, it is a nice dress. So no unanimity to be expected ... Personally I like in that styling category. I would not mind wearing it with the length she chose.

I actually like this dress a lot, but I don’t think it fits her style, this is not the kind of dress that you wear with high heels and a very prim clutch, it’s very bohemian, could look great worn with flat sandals or booties. Won’t even talk about the hair, no sir not going to go there.....
