On the occasion of Bretzelsonndeg (Pretzel Sunday), new photos of the Hereditary Grand Duke family were released on March 14. This Sunday, at the Fischbach Castle, Prince Charles discovered his very first Bretzel with his parents. The Bretzelsonndeg is a Luxembourgish traditional celebration and take places in mid-Lent, which falls this year on March 14.
Every year, on the fourth Sunday of Lent, Luxembourgers celebrate the Bretzelsonndeg. The traditional version of the custom dictates that a man should offer a pretzel to the woman he's interested in. The family photos showing together Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume, Hereditary Grand Duchess Stephanie and Prince Charles were taken by photographer Sophie Margue at Fischbach Castle in Luxembourg.
