On the occasion of Relay for Life (Relais pour la Vie) 2021, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, honorary president of the Cancer Foundation, released a video message for cancer patients and their families. During the video message, the Grand Duchess lights a candle and gives a speech of support for the cancer patients. A feature of every Relay for Life is the Candle of Hope ceremony which takes place at dusk.
This year, because of the pandemic, the Luxembourg Cancer Foundation holds its Relay for Life virtually. Relay for Life aims to raise awareness of cancer, and raise money for cancer research and patient care. The money raised from the online event will go to the Luxembourg Cancer Foundation.

I applaud the Duchess's support for the Relay for Life campaign. The light was dimmed, I assume, to accentuate the light of the candle. The resulting "mood" suits her and she looks very nice. I'm not a fan of the jacket. The flowers crawling up the sleeve is a bit much. I must say that I feel much better about my picture-hanging ability after seeing the picture wall behind the Duchess. :)

Why is she wearing a coat inside? I am not a fan of the coat / jacket. Has she done something to her eyebrows? It is a lovely message.

Well, there was a big scandal not so long ago about her and the finances of the palace, how rude she is with the staff, etc.... Don't judge a book by its cover....
