  1. Unfortunately this nice suit does not fit the grand duchess, a pity... For instance the super long sleeves spoil the general look and the make up is excessive.

look at the model, that's how the designer intended it to be.

    2. @ anonym 8:41 yes but it fits the model not the grand duchess, she is too short for that.

  3. Perhaps, it being their 40th anniversary, it is symbolic that the Grand Ducal couple's ensembles are so similar in color that they seem to meld together. They look very nice. Happy 40th Anniversary.

How! she doesn't look a day older than 40!

  5. Too much make-up indeed. And I´m not a fan of non-matching earrings.
    Henri looks dashing.

Beautiful, the lace gives a special addition for otherwise simple outfit. Her make up looks fresh and nice. -Siri

Odd suit, makeup too heavy, the very low necked blouse (again), mis matched earrings, overly smooth forehead and cheeks (had a lot of work done). Henri looks well.

    1. Yes, yet again, the low necked blouse.
I'm not a fan of black lace and especially if it's being worn for a happy occasions.
For me, non matching earings are fashion fun accessories for teenage girls (and boys).
Ouch, sounds as if I got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning.
Anyway, putting my likes and dislikes aside, I wish them both another 40 years of a very happy marriage together. Congratulations.

Not only a lot of work done ... photos are photoshopped to the hilt as well.

Grand Duchess looks absolutely stunning. She looks too young to have been married 40 yrs. Happy Anniversary to a lovely couple.

Congratulations to them for keeping their marriage relevant and vibrant, and for raising 5 children. My favorites are photos # 2 and # 3. GD Henri seems always to gaze lovingly at the Grand Duchess. It's nice to see her gaze adoringly at him for a change. They both look fabulous. I'm not always a fan of her short hairstyles, but I do like the styling and the blonde highlights here.

  10. Congratulations to the Grand Duke and Duchess on their ruby wedding. These are lovely photos and both look great--struggling to believe they are in their sixties.

She certainly looks gorgeous as does her husband, too. The makeup probably wouldn’t suit everyone but it looks great on her. Congrats!

  12. I enjoy the GD's modern easy style. I love her suit pairings and appreciate that she dresses in a fresh realistic way rather than trying to cover every inch of skin or wear a distracting necklines and jewelry. The couple's happiness in their marriage is evident which is a joy to see.

Congratulations to both of them. A lovely set of photos. I like the jacket and can't see anything wrong with the fit - nice to see her wearing something with a bit of shape rather than boxy and square. I think she looks great - I think who ever did her "tweakments" knows what they're doing. MT should hand out the business cards to some other royal ladies with less skilful help.

  14. What great photos. She looks good, I like the suit, it is not a traditional one, and I think that makes me like it even more. The lace is beautiful. The coordinating lipstick and tie is a nice touch. I also happen to like the 2 different earrings, a unique touch that works, as they compliment each other.

I think Maria Theresa looks great. I really like her suit - it's a black pantsuit but the details are creative and the fit is great!
Now that she's done away with the fake tan and styled her hair more softly, she looks amazing!

    1. No I don't think the fit is great, particularly at the level of the button, no sorry.

In one word a terrific jacket. And black suits her.
