Today, on Valentine's Day, Silviahemmet celebrates its 25th establishment anniversary. Stiftelsen Silviahemmet was founded by Queen Silvia of Sweden on Valentine’s Day in 1996. On the occasion of the anniversary, the Royal Court released a photo of Queen Silvia. Through various training initiatives, Silviahemmet aims to contribute to the highest possible quality of life for those suffering from dementia and their families.

Silviahemmet offers training in various professional categories within the healthcare and social care sectors and arranges courses for families and other informal caregivers. For 25 years, Silviahemmet has contributed to more professional groups in health and care being trained and given cutting-edge expertise in dementia care.

Today, there are just over 1,000 employees in healthcare who, through supplementary higher education, have received titles such as Silvia nurse, Silvia doctor, Silvia occupational therapist, Silvia physiotherapist and development assistance officer with a diploma from Silviahemmet.

    The Queen looks well, though not a fan of that shade of red. Wish she would allow her hair to go gray naturally, she would look so lovely with a shorter, updated hairstyle.

      Her grey might not be a nice tone of grey. I do think she could go to a lighter shade of brown and look more youthful.

    I heard about the fall, and broken bones, I hope the Queen is healing well, and not in too much pain. God bless her for her strength.
