The COVID-19 pandemic and the lockdown have had a serious impact on the mental well-being of many elderly people and especially on nursing homes. Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a video call to Assistant Professor Pierre Missotten from Department of Psychology of Liege University and Professor Jan De Lepeleire from KU Leuven Academic Centre in order to receive information about how to ensure the mental health of the elderly during the pandemic.
