On the occasion of the World Sight Day 2020, Queen Elizabeth joined The Countess of Wessex for a video call earlier this week with eye health professionals. The participants of the video call who spoke with Queen Elizabeth and The Countess of Wessex emphasized the powerful impact their work has had on the lives of people they have supported, while helping to restore sight and save vision.

The Countess of Wessex is passionate about eliminating avoidable blindness. The Countess is Patron of Vision 2020 and a Global Ambassador of the International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB).
