I love this dress. The button detailing on the pocket is a fun addition to a basic sheath dress. Her hair beautifully styled. I prefer her shoe color to the model's.

  3. Wow! Gorgeous simple, elegant dress. Love it. And the belt and the shoes and the bag. She looks amazing, years younger than her chronological age.

Hmm, like the colour but the whole outfit is a bit plain. I'm also not a fan of the matching shoes. Somehow she doesn't have the appearance of a queen. More the one of a businesswoman you see everywhere. Being the queen you should stand out of the crowd not blend in.

Can't see a single photo here where she could be described as blending in.

Wow, I wouldn't say she is blending in, if I look a picture Letizia on the row of people - she is definitely standing out. If it is really so necessary, I don't know. But any way, this outfit looks great on her. The shoes are a perfect choice. - Siri

¡Cuota!

    5. "Stand out of the Croud" is an English concept, in fact in Spain Felipe II used to speak about "austerity" and black clothes, a total different one.

I agree with both types of opinions: that she dresses like the businesswomen you see everywhere and that most likely she purposely does not want to stand out of the crowd based on outfits that resemble those of HM Queen Elizabeth of GB.
Her failure to make a strike like a queen is the same as that for the other professional women that married into royalty: her "duties" do not span much more than gracing events. Of course skeptics would say she does tons of "work" behind the curtain but I doubt. The only royal that did make a difference with charity was Princess Diana, may she rest in peace. That is why the Princess of Wales was so popular, people are not stupid.

    7. Anon @ 8.54 I could not disagree with you more. The Queen looks elegant and stylish, she oozes class. In this case, less is definitely more. This dress works for her beautifully. She certainly doesn't need brash and sassy.

  14. Let's put this dress, shoes, belt and clutch again, brush the hair and a little gloss and it's ready! Simple and elegant!
I think today's Queens needs to have a different image from the past, the fact that they should be opulent on the way they dress it's something that for me should be changed on now days. Just my opinion, but I prefer a modern Queen, elegant, sober and with a professional way and look.

  15. This dress is a winner, well cut, clean lines and the right amount of detail to make it interesting, as usual Letizia looks poised and so incredibly chic. My only quibble is that I think she needs to trim her hair a little, of course that's my personal taste.
Anon@ 8:54 I completely disagree with your comment, I don't think this dress is plain, I don't think she blends, quite the contrary, but foremost I will take elegance and style over loudness and excessive jewelry, that doesn't make a queen. IMHO.

Great dress and perfect fit. I am glad she has decided to let her hair grow out. She looks so much better in longer hair and the slight wavy style is quite chic!
