On September 9, 2020, Danish Crown Princess Mary attended the international conference "A Decade of Action - 10 Years left" at Christiansborg in Copenhagen. The Crown Princess gave a speech at the conference. Five years ago, the world’s countries adopted UN 2030, the agenda for sustainable development and the matching 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference focuses on what actions are needed to meet the UN's 17 world goals by 2030. The conference is held by the 2030 network – the Danish Parliament’s cross-party network for the UN global goals, the Finance Committee’s parliamentary working group for the global goals and the 2030 panel.

What a very good combination, this Weel tailored jacket and the trousers.
Finishing touch with beautiful hair and modest jewelry!

    3. Again, it's a 100% "agreed" vote from me.
      Style, professionalism and more.
What an asset for the Royal house of Denmark.

    4. Well, I would have preferred white trousers in this case.

Her hairstyle is still horrendeous in many ways: length much too long and those artificial waves look way too unnatural and trendy-tasteless. Her new hair coloration is still too light and yellowish/brassy for her complexion and the mixture with her darker roots coming through looks unkempt and messy. How tacky. Clothing is okay, however a smaller purse would have been sufficient instead of this trendy bigger size. The small necklace doesn't look beautiful but too random and also clashes with the more elegant brooch. She would have been better off not adding that necklace and either wearing none or opting for a more sleek classic necklace to go along.

Tacky hair? I'm jealous of it!

    3. If you had thought about it for a moment you might have realised that, that so called trendy purse is actually a large handbag to carry her papers, pens and A4 sized sheets of paper and notes for the conference and has nothing to do with fashion. I agree that the necklace is sort of lost but to call her hairstyle tacky is perhaps not really understanding what the word tacky actually means. I don't like her hairstyle or its colour much but tacky it is not. The also so called artificial waves look more to me like the natural kink one hair gets after being tied up behind ones head with a tight elastic for a while.

    4. Mary oozes class.
"Tacky" is not in her genes.

Ponytail elastic "natural waves" effect? Certainly not. Those waves are clearly artificial, that's easy to spot, especially from the front.
Pertaining the big bag: Even for papers one can use a smaller size, plus there are many options to carry papers that don't have this oversized look - which btw. even doesn't serve her proportions at all as she has rather short legs, and with this big purse with long handles her legs look even shorter as the bag takes up a great deal of them and reaches the mid of her calves when she's carrying it (see photo walking with the lady in pink desss behind her). Even with the very high heels she likes to wear with pants to delude optically and artificially lengthen their appearance her legs, all her extreme efforts are to no avail as with this purse her legs still look short and her proportions get swallowed up. A smaller sized bag without long handles would be better.

Tacky hair? Oh my, you should take out your hair complaints against Maxima who really does have a bad head of hair!

Lovely professional outfit. Mary looks her best in the true, solid, and dark colors and in slim-fitting pants. She looks better with "less is more". Wow!

Nice photos, thanks. Here is another good one: https://i.imgur.com/2xa6amM.jpg

Mary looks wonderful: business-like, poised and elegant.
A different colour of trousers would have show off the beautiful fluted peplum of the jacket, but the mono-black look is probably more suited to the occasion for professional impact. I love the styling of her hair in the first 4 photos.

  6. Cette veste-portefeuille va à ravir à la princesse Mary ; ce serait parfait si son pantalon était d'une autre couleur ! J'aimerais mieux voir ses petites boucles d'oreilles !

  9. I absolutely love her hair with the chestnut highlights and the lovely soft curls.
I am not a fan of peplums but this one along with the belt looks more like a wrap style jacket, and softens the lines of the black pantsuit. Jewelry on point, discreet and refined.
I also like the fact that she is carrying a full size handbag, rather than those silly clutches for morning events.
    Impecable and classy!

I love the softer hair color too, it is so much better than the "color block" dark hair, very nice color and hair style. The jacket+trousers combination is to die for, perfectly elegant with a tiny quirky touch - beautiful.

Anon@ 11:22. Is OK not to like her style and this blog offers us a chance to offer fashion critique... but come on! A purse with handles makes women appear to have short legs? I imagine that like the rest of us she carries her bag in many different ways, over her shoulder, or in her elbow or just hanging . I strongly disagree eith your fashion statements.

It crosses over into a personal attack, which I do have a problem with. Who knows why anon 11:22 doesn't like Mary, but she doesn't.

  13. Her outfit is nice, albeit a bit dark for the season and the top a bit tight. I like her trousers, and I´m happy to see non-cropped, non-skinny trousers more often these days.
Regarding her hair: She´s changed her style, and maybe it was needed after having had the same style for like 10 years. So it´s different, it´s new, and I like it for that reason. The lighter brown also helps lift this all-black outfit and provides a contrasting colour, so I like it for that reason, too. But I feel like her hair doesn´t have the body and the thick quality it used to have. It looks thinner and frizzes a bit as it rubs against her top. It´s harder to manage at this length, despite the layers cut into it, and I don´t think she´ll keep it that long for long.

  14. CP Mary looks lovely in this outfit, she wears it well. Her hair looks soft looking, colour wise it suits her well, personally I love the highlights. Her choice of jewellery is perfect, a dainty necklace, earrings and brooch. She is a beautiful looking woman

Very lovely and elegant look from Crown Princess Mary. Good example of less is more.
I don't know how about you but due to pandemic I've visited my hairdresser less frequently, so now my hair are much longer. I like it and plan to keep it so. I think that growing hair out and letting color fade will give room to experiment. Beside Mary is in her 40s and lot of people start to get grey hair. In darker hair grey is more obvious. So perhaps that is why she's experimenting with lighter brown? Whatever her plan, she can always cut and color if she's not happy with the results (if hair salons are open that is ;) )!

The pants are not that flattering. They look rather boxy on HRH.

From Joann: Overall, I think she looks great here. But the low-cut of the jacket in front showed a whisper of cleavage which I don't think was
    appropriate for the event.
