On August 7, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako met with Ikuo Kabashima, Governor of Kumamoto Prefecture, to receive information about the damage situation after the record heavy rain last month and the prefecture's response. The meeting lasted for nearly an hour. During the meeting, The Emperor and Empress expressed regret and concern for victims.

Last month, deadly torrential rain and flooding in Kumamoto Prefecture caused severe damage and the death of more than 60 people, including over a dozen of elderly residents of a care home.

Beaucoup d'allure chez Masako dans cet ensemble dont j'aime beaucoup les dessins simples gris-clair de sa veste au délicat boutonnage ; je ne vois pas si elle porte un haut ou une robe bleu-marine ?! Belles perles des boucles d'oreilles et du collier ! L'empereur porte toujours une cravate en harmonie avec la tenue de son épouse ; très classe lui aussi !

  2. The Empress's black dress and coordinating blazer are beautiful. Her pearl necklace against the black dress is perfect . I must say that the Japanese royals have been very diligent in wearing masks and maintaining a safe distance from others. Well done!

    This is a beautiful outfit the Empress's is wearing, it co ordinates beautifully. Her perfect finishing touch are her beautiful pearl necklace and earrings, she is a very elegant woman.
