The perfect dress for an award honouring water - light, breezy, flowing, - and worn beautifully by Victoria. Very nice.

    1. Agreed, looks perfect for the occasion (and beautiful with that water background, how perfect! )

  3. I wonder what sort of shoes or sandals she is wearing with that nice dress. By the way I hate the shoes worn by the model, if they can, at all, be called shoes.

  4. She looks nice, and I agree that the dress is fitting the occasion. I like that the neckline isn´t so high and closed-up like we´ve seen so often lately. This V-neck looks interesting and allows the dress to "breathe" (as print dresses with high necklines, long sleeves and midi-length tend to overwhelm with too much fabric, too much print...). I´m glad we only get to see the top part though because I think I wouldn´t like the dress if I saw it in full. The balloon-like sleeves, the uneven hem and the busy all-over print make it look very busy on the model.

    1. I agree on the "neck" comments of Vanessa, but disagree very much about the rest. The dress as a whole is well balanced with a nice soft print and fabric. It is quite harmonious including sleeves and uneven hem. To me boring is worse than some nice fantasy.

  5. This dress is a marvellous choice, befitting the backdrop. The colour is lovely. The neckline is perfect, adds interest. Love the earrings.

  7. Lovely colour of dress and I like the V neck. Like Mary T, I think the choice of footwear would help me decide if I really like it or not. The mules/slides worn by the model look like my slippers and do nothing for the dress. A nice mid height sandal would be good

I agree with Vanessa's neckline comment very much, an open neckline suits Victoria much better. And her eye makeup is unusually accentuated, I like it. (No, it does not make her younger. But a bit prettier :-) (-Ann.)

  9. The dress has a lining made of polyamide.
    Polyamide severely damages water
    when being washed.
She wears this when presenting a water Award.
    She is a hypocrite.,

Sorry, this dress is part of H&M collection " Conscious".
Lining is mostly made up of Lyocell and less than 30% of polyamide.
I wonder if such a small quantity can pollute waters.

It is a great honor for Japan to be awarded at the 2020 Stockholm Junior Water Prize. Thank you very much, HRH Crown Princess Victoria.

    How naive can you get?

Have you ever heard of micro- filters which can be installed in washing machines and retain particles of some dangerous fabrics?

    1. Be reasonable! They don t work with polyamide and some other particles.
Why not just admit her judgement is extremely por?

    Yes, of course I'm naive.
    You know me well.
Strangely, you could have commented on Meghan' s trousers (when meeting Gloria Steinem) made of 100% viscose.
This fabric is " naively" considered to be ecofriendly, but if you get correct information about it , you'll find out how dangereous and polluting it can be for the environment including waters.
And even more strange, Meghan wore it despite her being so involved in environmental issues.
Now, please tell me who is the hypocrite and who is the " naïve".

    1. Try to understand that wearing environmentally unfriendly garments when presenting an environmental award is nothing but hypocritical.
      Or, is she just stupid?
There is no way you can defend this.

  14. I don' t want to defend Victoria, I just want to be fair.
Honestly, the difference is not in presenting an environmental award.
Meghan preaches environmental consciousness , she conveys messages to people on this matter.
I would expect something more from her.
She will probably present an award of the same kind in the future, given all the causes she is devoted to and her continous efforts to remain under the media exposure.
She should practice what she preaches to others about environmental issues ,but she does the opposite , which I call hypocrisy.
