Princess Raiyah of Jordan got married to British journalist Ned Donovan in the UK. Princess Raiyah's wedding took place at Queen Noor's residence in London with the permission of King Abdullah II, after their planned wedding in Jordan was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Princess Raiyah is the youngest daughter of the late King Hussein of Jordan and Queen Noor. On 5 November 2019, the court announced Princess Raiyah's engagement to British-born journalist Ned Donovan, son of the writer Tessa Dahl and Patrick Donovan.

At the wedding, Princess Raiyah chose to wear Queen Noor's diamond and sapphire brooch as a headband. Queen Noor has that brooch since early 90s. The wedding in London took place without guests but when the situation returns to normal, it is planned to hold a wedding ceremony in Jordan with a large number of guests.

Princess Raiyah got engaged to Ned Donovan – grandson of acclaimed children’s author Roald Dahl — on October 26, 2019. Princess Raiyah attended Atlantic College in Wales and received her undergraduate degree in Japanese at the University of Edinburgh. She also studied for a year at Ritsumeikan University in Japan. She received a postgraduate degree in Japanese literature from Columbia University.

Noor Al-Hussein (Lisa Najeeb Halaby) is the Queen Dowager of Jordan as the widow of King Hussein. Noor was his fourth spouse and Queen Consort between their marriage in 1978 and his death in 1999. Noor and Hussein had four children, that is, Prince Hamzah, Prince Hashim, Princess Iman and Princess Raiyah.

    Congratulations to the pair. Love her dress and the unusual use of the brooch in her headdress. She reminds me a lot of her mother in her youth.

    I have never hard of her. So 4th wife of King Hussein of Saudi had a 100 kids and she is one of them!

      Hussein was the king of Jordania, not of Saudi.
      Abdullah, the present king of Jordania, is a half-brother of the bride.

      Yes, J, it's very evident you haven't heard of her.

      Queen Noor was the 4th wife of King Hussein of Jordan and she had 4 children.

      She doesn't have the highest profile but for people who follow royalty she isn't a complete unknown.
