I like this! She looks slimmer than I remember and I hope she has put her heath issues behind. Her smile suggests that. CH

I agree that she looks slimmer. I think it is because of the cut and fit of her clothes. Simple lines, close to the body, and no belt needed. The pants are very flattering, as is the top, with the exception of the folds of fabric on her shoulder.

    Very wrinkled top and pants.

That’s because she wears natural fabrics, not polyester.

Oh my. The horrid center part; and not just any center part - it's crooked and her natural roots are showing. Messy "I don't care" hair. Wrinkled clothing, pants too long, wrong shoes. That humungous bow on the blouse does not go well with the rest of her kinda casual look. FAIL even for an outside event with school children; but, hey, she's there and she's smiling. ~Laurel~

    1. The answer to all this is the appointment of The Princess Royal's (Princess Ann) stylist and hairdresser to do a "re-look" for Queen Maxima. That should bring a halt to the endless criticism for once and all.

Yes, oh my... between the messy, unhealthy hair and the ridiculous, large bow it is quite the disaster!

There is nothing wrong with a center part. I am not sure where that is coming from. The condition of her hair could be from a health issue. Weakened hair and nails are signs of health problems. I can't dismiss the fact that she has over-processed her hair, but there could be more to it. She seems to put a lot of effort into her appearance in so many other ways (successful or not), so it does not make sense that she would think her hair looks good. Maybe, just maybe, she is leaving her hair alone so it will have a chance go grow out a little healthier. We have the mention of her roots showing. Well, Maxima is in good company. Millions of women haven't had their hair done in months. Letizia has let her grey grow in instead of risking her health to have her hair cut and colored. During the pandemic, we have learned that Kate does not know how to style her own hair if she wears it down. Like so many women, her hair is difficult to style and a professional does the best job. Instead of constantly pointing out the obvious about Maxima's hair, why not find something else to discuss? Her hair does not keep her from doing her job. If hair was the key to royal success, Princess Anne and her decades old helmet of hair would be the first on my list.

    4. Guess all these critical complainers haven't taken a good look in their own mirrors lately.
I do however agree with that now...please remove it. You don't need that thing. It's like guilding the Lily

  4. Maxima seems to have shorter hair. Nice blouse which fits her well.

I like this outfit. Its appropriate for the occasion and its nice and simple, although the bow is just slightly too big.

For Maxima I have lowered my standards :
for her today’s outfit is not to bad:the blouse is nice ( the flower on the shoulder much to big); the trousers very good.
I wonder what she intends to do with the shawl: over both shoulders seems impossible.

  8. Help! has she borrows one of Princess Mabel's blouses? She is the one who normally favours giant bows. Actually the full length photo is okay, though the material in both blouse and trousers has wrinkled very badly as Anon 8:45 says

Pants, good length but wrinkled. Blouse, wrinkly, but am wondering what fell from the sky and landed on her shoulder? It is just toooo much, just like this unkempt hair thing she has going on. How tacky to be a queen and not take care of your hair.

  12. Love the blouse! It's perhaps a bit smart for jeans, but I would love to see it again. The jeans have an excellent fit. She looks so slim in this outfit. The wrinkles are a bit of a spoiler, but it's the nature of the fabric, it will wrinkle whatever you do. She brings the cheer.

  13. For me, the bow is too large and there is no sense about the shawl but her smile, brightens all around.

  14. Ses cheveux semblent mieux coiffés ; joli corsage mais je le verrais mieux sans cette grosse fleur ; je crois que son pantalon est en lin, ce qui donne l'impression froissé !

Apart from the wrinkles which I think are unavoidable she looks good to me. I like the top.

  16. Why all the criticism..she is lovely!
Great enthusiasm and warm beautiful person. Love her taste in clothes..so the pandemic is on.. hairdressers are difficult to find!

    1. Her hair problems are reaching back to a state visit in China, 2 or 3 years ago when she flew home early for health reasons and spent a while in hospital in the Netherlands. Since then I noticed she changed. Nothing to do with hairdressers difficult to find at the moment. Or do you think she cut her hair all by herself and refreshed the colour? Nethertheless: casual summery outfit and professional smile.

    2. Ev, I totally agree with Rainha Leonor, her messy, neglected hair, come's way way back before the virus hit the world. Just look at old photo's, since her marriage, to up to 2, 3 years ago, like rainha leonor said. Look how stunning, jaw dropping she looked, with the "chignon's," buns, etc etc. Her hair was always beautiful, professional, styled to the nines, in the past!
