Grand Duchess Maria Teresa and director Serge Tonnar got together at Berg Castle for the video shoot of an original project. Grand Duke Henri also accompanied the video shoot. Accompanied by cellist Annemie Osborne and under the artistic direction of Milla Trausch and Serge Tonnar, the Grand Duchess took part as a narrator in a new interpretation of the famous Luxembourgian fable "D’Maus Kätti".
D'Maus Ketti (Mouse Ketti) is a fable in verse which, in four chapters, tells the story of town mouse Mim visiting country mouse Ketti in Burmerange, and vice versa. It is the first work of Luxembourgian liberal politician and writer Auguste Liesch and was published in 1936.
The fable, inspired by Aesop and also found in Horace's Satires, illustrates the incompatibility of city and country life. With Pierre Blanc's illustrations, the story has become a classic of Luxembourgian children's literature.
The video will be broadcasted on www.kuk.lu on June 28.
