Smart Works shared a video of The Duchess of Sussex's conversation with a young woman

On Tuesday, the organisation Smart Works, of which the Duchess of Sussex is patron, shared a video on Instagram, which includes a clip of the video call between the Duchess of Sussex and a young woman. The Duchess made a video call to SmartWorks UK on March 27 to discuss their upcoming projects and to receive information about their situation during the COVID-19 crisis.

During the video call started from the Duchess's home in Los Angeles, The Duchess also spoke to one of the charity's clients to offer words of advice and encouragement ahead of a job interview. The Duchess praised her for being such a beacon of hope. Meghan wished the young woman luck at the end of the video call and said that she is proud of being Smart Works' patron.

Smart Works produces high quality clothing and provides coaching to unemployed women with upcoming job interviews. The Duchess became patron of Smart Works in January 2019 and launched a special capsule clothing collection with the charity last September. The collection was created in collaboration with Marks & Spencer, Jigsaw, John Lewis and Misha Nonoo. For every item that was purchased, one was donated to the charity.

I've already posted below, but after looking at the pictures again, I'm not sure it's really her. She seems like herself in the video - voice and expressions - but the photos are a different story. Somehow it's not her. Maybe it's because the hair is pulled back so far, it makes he forehead look bigger. But her cheeks are fuller. I went back and looked at some recent photos of her and this photo is definitely different. I Once heard that Hollywood stars used body doubles to escape the public. Maybe this is a body double. If you put this photo next to a recent one of her, this one looks almost like a teenager.

She looks different because of her teeth. Today I happen to come across her wedding photos again and her teeth were slightly more yellow, not as long and thin as they are now. She has at least 6 front teeth veneered and reshaped. Hence, her smile is different, that longer, whiter teeth gives her a more youthful smile, along with some mini Botox in forehead or filler.

I don't understand how someone who claims to be a Christian wears amulets, visionary charm or red bracelets. The Christian faith does not acknowledge this. Unfortunately, many in the West do not know Christianity and appear in church for their wedding, the baptism of their child, and that's all. Some "celebrities" will show themselves to fans in front of the church at Christmas and Easter.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Anonymous1/5/20 07:09

Why do you say she CLAIMS to be a Christian? Have you heard something to the contrary? Absolutely no one owes you a schedule of their church attendance, no matter who they are. You should also keep in mind that many people who show their face in church every week are badly behaved throughout the week. Church attendance does not make the Christian.

Wearing an evil eye or anything else that has some meaning to some people has no meaning to me if I don't believe it. The evil eye as jewelry has been worn for centuries. From a jewelry website:

"The symbol [evil eye] was first recorded by the Mesopotamians about 5,000 years ago but may actually have originated as early as the Upper Paleolithic age. We find this symbol in Jewish, Christian and Muslim cultures as well as Buddhist and Hindu societies. It makes you think that the world is a small place and that we don't think too different from each other after all."

I know what astrology is, I know my sign, and just for fun will read my horoscope every now and then. Do I believe any of it? Nope. Does it make me any less Christian because I know my astrological sign or may read my horoscope for fun? Nope. I would never want to be part of a religion that was afraid to allow people to have their own thoughts. Those are called cults. Please use a little common sense when making remarks.

      Delete
    2. Anonymous2/5/20 09:57

Thank you for sharing your common sense, Anon 11:17. I had a similar question (although I wasn't aware she claimed to be a Christian). But certainly wearing such a thing would be contrary to the Christian faith. Symbols, by definition, have meaning. So a person can say, "It doesn't have that meaning to me." But that's tantamount to looking at the grass and saying, "It doesn't look green to me." It means what it means, and some meanings are inconsistent with some doctrines. The jewelry website statement cited above is nothing but marketing nonsense.

How does wearing this jewelry measures to the antics of Prince Andrew, the behavior of Charles while still married to his first wife, or even the naughtiness of Prince Phillip back in the day? I would dare say that all those "peccadilloes" are a bit more insulting.

Now they are demonic symbols? Many people associate them with good luck/fortune. Did you know that the swastika was a symbol of good luck until Hitler ruined it? The meaning of words and symbols change and over time. Rainbows originally symbolized God's promise, and now they also represent LGBTQ Pride. Back in the day, the word "gay" meant cheerful. Now "gay" means homosexual.

Who said the BRF is put off by this? I think they have much bigger things to focus on. Most people with any kind of a life do.

Meghan's father was been in cahoots with the tabloids before the wedding. Her family has not been supportive or protective. A loving, supportive, protective family would keep their mouths shut, not only refusing to speak to the tabloids, but certainly never fueling the fire. I can't imagine my family ever betraying me in such a way, just as I would never betray them. One thing I do know is that every situation is different, and no one will ever fully understand the situation and the hurt between them. I think it is their business, not ours. I just wish them the best in the future.

Many people have suffered because of people who claim to be Christians (see the catholic church). In a secular society, a person is allowed to believe what they believe. Amulets have been worn for centuries by people in every culture.

If you do, please share that information with us so as to credit your viewpoint. But if you don't, then stop blaming her for everything.
Harry is also a very determined person, and it's completely possible that this is the life he wanted; he met his soulmate who has helped him to achieve it and will continue to do so. If he had married a 'Stepford Wife' kind of person he'd still be a trapped, '6th-in-line' Royal, unable to freely achieve the goals he has in mind. Not everyone wants that kind of life just because they are born into it. It isn't all roses when you're on the inside looking out.

Why do you keep talking about how she treated the family? Has it occurred to any of you that this could been Harry's doing, has it occurred to you that maybe the family treated them both in a manner similar to how they treated Diana? None of us know anything about what goes on with their private lives, is just gratuitous to blame her for everything. And NO, I don't think she should hide, they want to start a new life, a foundation of sorts, they have every right to share their work with whoever wants to see it, and NO, people don't have a right to know anything that is personal. Many people may not agree with their decisions or endeavors, but there is no justification for the malicious comments about them . I would feel the same way if the abuse was directed to Kate, or an other person of whom we know nothing about their private life.

Duke of Sussex is not a surname, it's just a title. I don't know about you, but my country does not recognize aristocratic titles (only official royal representatives from abroad are entitled to use the title and address HRH as an expression of diplomatic protocol).
And calling someone "just call me Harry" is inappropriate (names addressed are confidential and reserved for close friends). So - in theory - how should we address them at the meeting? I think the most appropriate is "Mrs. Mountbatten - Windsor"

@3:24 There is one famous man in history who has been called by only one name, and no one asks for his surname or knows if he even had one. A couple has an option of five (count them) options to select a last name when they get married - his name, her name, a totally new name, a combination of both names, or each person keeps their own name. What ever they have chosen is their business. Asking people to call you by your first name is 'inappropriate'? Quit scraping the barrel or bottom feeding for criticisms.
Titles were invented to create a social hierarchy of haves and have-nots. Luckily your country ignores them so Harry will not be give royal treatment there. - Dahlia
