No, I donot think I like this: the skirt nor the curls

I really like this outfit. Oddly enough I actually bought the skirt at Reiss on Saturday. It’s a little shiny, but it’s well executed on a good design.

I know everyone says she looks best in red, but I think this soft pink works to her advantage. CH

    1. I agree, she looks good. I wouldn't have picked this for her, but it works. I don't like her hair in those curls though :(

  3. Magnifique harmonie entre le chemisier satiné rose pastel, la jupe à petits plis contrastés et les chaussures bicolores ; j'adore les boucles d'oreilles !

Really like it. Pink and black look good on her and she wears this outfit very well.

OK, now that I'm on my computer and not on my phone I can see that the skirt is navy and not black. I preferred the full look (shoes included) when I thought it was black. Pink and navy is not my preference.

  7. Interesting skirt. I like it, but I don´t think it works with the blouse, or the shoes. The skirt needs a sleek, plain top, maybe a slim-cut turtleneck, and plain shoes, ideally in navy.

  8. Shiny blouses are THE thing this week obviously. I think this looks great with the colours of the pleated skirt and the matching shoes. Like Anon 5 45, I'm not sure that the curls are her best look. Just love those shoes.

I think Letizia's shoes and skirt are the nice pieces here. The skirt is quite pretty and chic with the two colored pleats. The pink blouse seems a bit strange with this skirt and this color is not her best.

  11. Lovely skirt and blouse. Queen Letizia knows how to wear Reiss! However, in my experience, Steve Madden shoes are not that comfortable. Certainly not compared to good Italian pumps.

The shoes look cheap, pity.... spoil the look. She has shoes from Prada, CH, why Steve Madden? Cheap clothes are no problem, but cheap shoes always look what they are, cheap...

Yup, Lily T, I had the same thought: she has beautiful soft pink Prada shoes. And maybe not everyone notices the cheap make immediately, the biggest difference is in fact what they do to your legs and feet. But I do like the skirt)and that’s about it on the positive side) Seems everyone is trying to promote Reiss these days (Kate twice, now Letizia), let’s hope it will help them improve their sales, otherwise they’re in trouble and likely headed towards collapse.

The color blocking on the shoes works great with the contrasting pleats of the skirt. The top is a miss for me- too shiny. I would love to see this skirt worn with a white button down.

The design detail of the skirt shows best when the pleats expand either in motion or when she is sitting. The shiny blouse can be replaced with a pink cotton button down shirt the next time, or the top of the two piece worn on October 12, two years ago. The shoes add a pop of interest to the outfit.
@Lily T, the price of Steve Madden's shoes may be 'cheap', but many a woman has bought shoes for the 'look' as opposed to the price without the implication that they too are 'cheap'. Recall the petty practice of some local rags of itemizing the cost of her outfits -by month- at the end of each year of which she is probably well aware. Some of their royal idols have outspent her by thousands of euros, so the practice has been quietly discontinued. - MB

@MB: I do not understand your statement on cheap shoes. My point is that cheap shoes look cheap from miles and even on photo’s... No problem with moderately priced clothes though. Those can be made looking very chic with good shoes.

The blouse is from 2017, she wore it at FITUR Fair, it is by Adolfo Domínguez.

Not everyone has the talent to spot cheap shoes from mile away..enhorabuena! but, they are what the average woman can afford, and the Queen and the monarchy itself must remain relatable to the public. This pair was not purchased as a staple. It has been worn two or three times at best, while we see the better brands more often. The overuse of the word cheap suggest a poor eye for quality, and going directly to what ruins a passable outfit a little uncharitable. MB

  15. Me encanta esta falda. Vista en movimiento, los pliegues se abren mostrando un delicado color rosa, más pálido que la blusa. Los zapatos van bien combinados. Los pendientes son preciosos. Bella e infatigable Letizia.
