On the evening of Saturday, 3 October 2026, Princess Charlène symbolically lit Casino Square in Monte-Carlo pink to mark “Pink October”. For the 16th consecutive year, the Pink Ribbon association, of which the Princess is Honorary President, is organising the event, which marks the launch of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Throughout October, 24 buildings across the Principality, including the Prince’s Palace, will be illuminated in pink to support the prevention, screening, and treatment of breast and gynaecological cancers. Founded by Natasha Frost-Savio in 2011, Pink Ribbon Monaco was the first association in the region to mark Women’s Cancer Awareness Month by illuminating buildings in pink. The Princess has served as Honorary President of Pink Ribbon Monaco.
