On March 18, 2020, Queen Elizabeth II received the outgoing and incoming Commanding Officers of HMS Queen Elizabeth, Commodore Stephen Moorhouse and Captain Angus Essenhigh at Buckingham Palace in London. (The Queen will move to Windsor Castle for the Easter period on Thursday 19th March, one week earlier than planned. It is likely The Queen will stay there beyond the Easter period.)

Lovely blue dress. I must say, for her is Duty first self second. Maybe she needs to start to rethink this part, for the next few weeks or so. God bless her heart.

She looks lovely as usual and looks like she had very nice chat with the officers. She's a charmer, that one. :)

  4. her Majesty looks great here and really suits this deep blue. I thought the colour block dress from last week was a brave choice but not as flattering on her as this is. She goes to Windsor tomorrow, as far as I remember, and will not carry out any public engagements then though I'm not sure f investitures and the like will be held there instead of in London.

This Lady is a class-act, be it clothing or what she does. The bright blue looks excellent on her, as do all colours. And judging by the photos, the occasion was enjoyed by all! - Ellie

  7. These would have to be some of the most beautiful photos I have seen of the Queen, she looks radiant. Love her gorgeous blue dress, combined with the pearls she looks stunning. The Commanding officers look brilliant. They were their medals well and with pride and so they should. A marvellous visit. The Queen is one amazing lady. Considering what is going on in the world right now and she is still soldiering on.

    1. Considering what is going on in the world, perhaps she should consider giving the good example and stop these meetings....
