Queen Silvia visited Lotsens dementia home in Nynäshamn

On February 12, Queen Silvia visited Silviahemmet Foundation's Lotsens nursing and care home in Nynäshamn. The home was founded in 1996 on the initiative of the Queen and since its foundation, has worked to increase knowledge and skills in the dementia area. In November, approximately 30 employees attended the education program of Lotsens nursing and care home, which aims to contribute to the highest possible quality of life for people with dementia, regardless of the degree of illness, and their relatives.

  7. Queen Silvia's black and white jacket paired with the red scarf is gorgeous. As someone who has experienced the effect of dementia on a loved one and those of us who cared for her, I am touched by the Queen's interaction with the residents of this care home and the caregivers. Her beauty goes far beyond her physical appearance.

  8. What a fantastic visit. That first photo, the Queen looks so sincere, gracious and warm, her smile lit up the room, she really shone on this visit. Her outfit is superb. Love the black and white jacket, it is gorgeous. Coupled with the black skirt by the look of it and beautiful red silk scarf, divine outfit. This would have been very uplifting visit for both patients and staff.
