On December 19, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde of Belgium made a Christmas visit to the House "Les Sauverdias" in Namur, which serves people in difficulty seven days a week. Guests are given the opportunity to eat a meal there in the morning and afternoon, to spend the day there and to take a shower. The house is a place for poor, disadvantaged, lonely people and for people under social or economical risk. |
After a tour and a working meeting, the King and Queen ate the lunch with the guests of the house and met with the volunteers. |
Mathilde seems to be juggling plates - I like her face in photo 3
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks terrific for a visit such as this. What a wonderful organisation, people who are struggling can get the essentials, fantastic stuff. Lovely to see the Queen and King sitting down eating with the guests. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks appropriately dressed, the King as well, though he looks a little tired. Would not want to have to live their lives, always in the spotlight.
ReplyDeleteMad about plaid! I love the first photo with 2 plaid shirts.
ReplyDeleteMathilde looks great as usual.
Mathilde porte une jolie robe mais pourquoi la ceinturer sous la poitrine ?!
ReplyDeleteAgree. Think it spoils the overall look, though still love the dress.
DeleteMe encanta la naturalidad, sinceridad de Mathilde y Philippe.
ReplyDeleteI love a good plaid, especially at Christmas! Mathilde looks lovely.
