I agree with you regarding the length of her dress. Yes, she and Mathilde would look better adding a few cm to the length.

Mathilde et Maxima portent des toilettes d'il y a quelques années, donc au dessus du genou, si vous n'avez pas compris qu
A l'époque c'était anormal de porter en dessous du genou donc cherchez l'erreur

    3. You are absolutely right. Too-tight and short clothing do not make a person look smaller. They just look like they shopped in the "teens" department. I also think some shaping of her hair would be helpful, something like CP Mary's or Queen Letizia's. They let theirs fly free and when it falls it still looks fine.

Once again very nice look. I’ve started to think that all the frills, shiny fabrics, flower dresses, etc. in fact look pretty funny on grown women. But that’s how most of the royals look.

It's a lovely dress and I like the low vibe style of the Duchess both here and on the trip so far, but I'd have liked the dress to be slightly larger. I feel that it's pulling and tugging a bit in places, and a little extra room would have made it look more relaxed and refined. She still looks good though.

  5. The Duchess's choices here are low key but still elegant. The solo shot of her (6th photo) is absolutely stunning. Her radiant smile is captivating. She seems very happy in her role as vice president of the Queen's Commonwealth Foundation. The woman in the white blouse and royal blue is gorgeous.

This is very clean and elegant look on Meghan. The fit is nice, she looks great.

  7. Too short for my taste, and the whole look is lacking a contrasting element. But still, I think this is a clean, fresh, modern and appropriate look.
I totally agree with anon.3:12 that grown women should be careful with all those frilly, shiny, floral stuff as it makes them look girly. Less is more. Clean lines and simple designs will always look classy, as long as they fit right.

  8. I like this dress a lot, but I don't like the fit, maybe the next size would have looked better, I also like the shoes, but not together, too much beige going on, I think that a pair of cognac or brown wedges would have looked terrific.
Not a huge fail, but not my favorite look.

    1. Very much agreed. Next size up with some tailoring would have made this fantastic, along with a darker shoe. But the style and accessibility of the dress is spot on.

Agree. A size up would fit better and she could always take it in latter.

  9. Now confused--nice navy dress--longish--- with flats which made it look slightly frumpy. Now short caramel coloured dress with heels which makes it look skimpy. If she had swapped the footwear, I think both outfits would have been improved. I saw photos of the top of the dress earlier and liked the look but agree with Cherry Blossom, Vanessa and others that the fit is not good. In the first couple of photos, where the wind has blown her hair back, she looks lovely. To be honest I don't understand hair extensions but if that is what she is using, then shorter ones would look much better.

I like the trench coat dress, but a nuance too short. Not to great hairstyle MO.

I love these tonal beige colours on D. Meghan. This dress unfortunately lacks a good fit as others have noted - a little too tight and a little too short. I do love the simplicity of the style though. (V.M.)

Sorry disagree, not too short at all and I don't think it's tight. I love her hair. I think it's a perfect outfit for South Africa. I do wish maybe the shoes were a different color, give some pop. - Capt. Marvel
