Lovely, just right for this occasion. Great look on Mary.

  2. She looks just perfect: a modest fresh-looking blouse, beautiful and appropriate skirt for the occasion, semi-dressy shoes that catch a color from her skirt, and hair that is neatly combed and clean. One cannot escape the comparison with the look of Stephanie of Luxembourg, another "queen-in-waiting" in her recent visit there. See the September archive.

    1. Exactly, Mary gets it right every time. Stephanie, please hire a stylist.

    2. I honestly think Stephanie suffers from depression. She’s so sweet and naturally lovely but can’t get simple grooming accomplished. So sad.

    3. Mary looks wonderful here, but I think that Stephanie was perfectly lovely in her own right when she visited Marocco a few weeks ago.
These two women have very different personality types. Mary is outgoing, likes attention, enjoys being seen. Stephanie is shy, modest, and profound in a way that makes Mary look superficial. She may not be as polished but to call her ungroomed is unfair; I think she has always looked appropriate.

With sites like this that focus on pictures, one tends to judge people according to their appearance. And thus, the confident, outgoing, polished person seems to be superior. But as soon as you listen to interviews and look at some live footage, the shy person may well surprise you with being well-spoken, refined, cultivated, well-educated and empatic. Those are wonderful traits that don't come across much in pictures but are clear merits.
There are people that have both, but that is rare.

She looks wonderful - cool and fresh yet stylish and elegant. The beautiful coloured skirt is complimented by the clean white blouse and the flow of both is lovely. Very nice.

The CP Mary really does marvellous work. Her look today did not distract from the job at hand. The crisp white shirt and beautiful coloured skirt looked perfect. She is very stylish and elegant.

Beautiful skirt, I wonder why she did not choose a blouse in the same shade of the shoes, that was also in the skirt, would be interesting to see that combination.

    1. I think it would have looked too contrived. The white blouse allows the skirt to pop!

  13. Again, she's got it right. Excellent outfit for the climate and the country.
Congratulations to Princess Mary on being given by the Queen the honour of “rigsforstander". That is, she is able to stand in for the Queen if the Queen is unable to carry out a duty. Her husband, her brother-in-law and the Princess Benedikte are the only other people with this honour.
