  1. My goodness! They are wearing shorts! (In response to those who were panicking about Catherine in shorts yesterday so please don’t take too seriously). Lovely photos of this super family again. Particularly like the one of the whole family in front of the thatched house and the one of Mary and Fred on the boat. Looks like they have had good weather and hope they have had a great holiday. Think Danish schools may go back next week as, sadly, we do in Scotland.

Houses with roofs made of seaweed.....I am very interested in that beautiful house.
Are they unique to only Denmark?
And happy to see relaxing delightful family.

    2. And in the northern part of Germany, and in parts of France (la Normandie for example). In german wie call it "Reetdach". It's quite expensive, but only as for the initial costs. A Reetdach is longlasting and the natural material copes with wind and rain. In the Normandie they sometimes plant a certain kind of flowers (I think it's Iris) on the very top of the roof because after the rain the roots of these flowers pull the water out of the Reet.

      Thanks anja.
It’s great for Crown Prince Frederik to show his children and wife a variety of rich Danish and Baltic cultures through domestic tours.

      Thanks Coralie.
Very interesting information! I am studying architecture. I wish I could go to Normandy someday.

    5. Way, way back in Belgium, only the poor had thatched roofs, like my maternal grandmother's house. Much, much later on, only the very rich had them.

Beautiful casual styles. Mary has beautiful and shapely legs, so she looks great in shorts. Love her blouse.

  6. What a lovely, natural yet doing official duties family. Love how they can all be comfortable being ‘normal’ whilst representing the Crown.

No solo Letizia los usa. Menos mal. A la pobre la pusieron a caldo hace unos días.

The whole family looks lovely. They all were so busy on their holidays, they need a few day's to adjust to their regular workday's. School should be starting soon in Denmark or am I wrong.?
