| U.S. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump are currently making a state visit to Japan. On May 27, 2019, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako welcomed President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump with a state ceremony held at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. At the welcoming ceremony, Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko were present. The Trumps will participate in a banquet hosted by the imperial couple at Homeiden, the largest room at the palace. |
