  1. Sonja looks regal. MM with all those dots is just not a good look.

  2. I am forgiving MM any odd look--just happy to see her being able to come to these events, which means she must be responding to her treatment. The three dresses she's worn today are not bad, just typical MM--flowing, too much fabric, not well fitting. But she's trying (the Fendi dress in and of itself was pretty nice). I'm just glad to see her around. In one of the photos from this morning PH was helping her stand up. It was a bit heartbreaking for a woman so young.

  3. The queen is stunning in the lovely grey dress. She is so original in all she wears! And Mette Marit has chosen a playful dress that fits her very nicely. I think she has decided to find styles and sizes that fit and feel better. I chuckled looking at that first photo because she almost disappears into the carpet's pattern!

  4. The Queen looks elegant. Who ever wears a polka dot ball gown;it seems to match the carpet.MM is such an attractive Princess;a nice blue, red or yellow gown would suit her.

  7. Mon Dieu! La princesse Mett-Marit n'a pas choisi un motif de robe avantageux. De plus, avec le motif de la moquette, c'est assez hallucinant merci! On dirait que ça ne finit plus!

  9. Oh no, what a bad choice of dress from MM ! The print on the carpet looks in a way better than the Polka-dot-mix on her dress, simply too much !

  10. I just love MM, she really has her own style and does not choose the safe ones. Queen Sonja is elegant as always.

    1. Each allowed their own opinion. I personally think this many polka dots is too overwhelming. This is not negative, just an opinion. I also like MM and appreciate all she does and the kind of mother she is, so I am not being critical/negative to her personally, just an opinion on her fashion.

  15. Going to be controversial here--I actually prefer M-M's dress to Queen Sonia's and it's not often I'd say that. I think the grey is colourless and makes the Queen look washed out while the waistline makes her look dumpy and frumpy which she's certainly not. In contrast, though I am no fan of polka dots, even in much smaller quantities, Mette-Marit's dress is okay, once she got away from the unfortunate carpet!

  16. Polka dots bring down the formality of the gown. I think this was a mistake for MM.

  17. The Queen looks great but Mette Marit not so much. Way to many polka dots.

  18. I really like MM but I admit some of her dress choices are a bit off.. I have to say this is probably the worst gown I hae seen in a while. First it competes with the carpet and just does not look formal enough for this even or any event in my opinion.
