Prince Harry and Duchess of Sussex visited Courtney Creative

On the second day of their visit to New Zealand, in the evening of October 29, 2018, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Courtenay Creative in Wellington for an event celebrating the city’s thriving creative arts scene. Courtney Creative runs programmes to give young people the tools and experience to excel in the film industry. There, The Duke and Duchess met with a number of young creatives demonstrating their skills in props, make-up, and costume. (The Duchess wore a white blazer dress (sleeveless version) by Maggie Marilyn which is a New Zealand based fashion brand).

  1. Very smart dress.

  2. Far too short to be becoming and fits poorly.

    1. Agree, just what I was thinking.

    2. Yes I agree too so obvious, a pity for her nice gesture of wearing a local dress.

    3. It it is an odd dress design to be worn short. The pockets are horrendously distracting for her. She looks uncomfortable.

  3. Very nice - I think the sleeveless option was probably a good idea to pair with heels.

  4. Hmm.. too short and makes me think of a bakers jacket.
But she is glowing and seems to have more energy than at the previous activity.

  5. At the last two pictures she looks like a nurse.

  6. I hope this nice, duty couple will have som rest and peace soon 🥀

  7. Even though I raved about the short black maternity dreds she wore to another event, I have to say that this one does not flatter her legs, and that she probably should avoid such short skirts as a rule.

    1. Even when her legs where more flattering she should not wear these short skirts. It seems to me like mannerism.

    2. What do you mean? I don't understand your comment.

  8. The dress itself is nice, but too short. It does not flatter her.

  9. I like this dress, it's just OK, young and fresh, it would have looked better with an extra 2-3 centimeters. Personally I am not keen on pairing black dress shoes with a summery white dress, I think that a not too open sandal in a floral pattern, or metallic would have elevated the outfit.
Jane Chantal, I don't see why if a woman doesn't have a perfect pair of legs ( according to your standards), she has to cover them, as if she was somehow flawed, if that was the case half of the human race would have to wear a circus tent, and a paper bag over their heads, and BTW I don't think her legs are so " imperfect"

    1. I don't read Jane Chantal's comment as she should never wear dresses, just that these short skirts don't flatter her. I don't think her legs are Meghan's best feature but that doesn't mean she has to keep them covered up all the time. She generally chooses clothes that are appropriate and flattering to her figure as with the mid length dresses she wears or the very elegant sheath dresses which look so good on her. She's got great toned arms which is why the sleeveless and halter neck styles look good. This one is a miss for me

  10. Hands in pockets like this is a no-no! And maybe a little too short and not a good look with the high heels. Agree that this is more a nurse look...

  11. She is very confident of herself if not to confident,

    1. I don't think she looks confident here at all. Sbe looks self conscious and uncomfortable, which she demonstrates by having her hands awkwardly in her pockets.

  12. No for this dress. Too short and legs not looking good at all.

  13. Dress length on the knee is more elegant ,
Meghan glows just as Harry does ,
they both respond to crowds the same way .

  14. Not sure of this dress, it is too short and does look suited to her shape. She does thrust her chest out and her tummy so in some things she looks thinner than others. I hate the term baby bump but think she will show quicker because she is so thin normally. She has extremely thin legs ( I wish I did) and some of the too short or too long dresses make the ankles look even thinner.

  15. Warum klammert sich Meghan so sichtbar krampfhaft an Henry ?

    1. It's a two-way street for both of them.

  17. She looks young, fashion and so in love!! She is a total beauty. This dress is wonderful in her, her legs seem athletic and in Shape, nice model!!

  18. Firstly, any comments on Meghan's legs being too skinny or too thin are body shaming. These comments have got to stop. There is no difference saying someone is too fat or too skinny. Both are equally wrong.

Meghan looks young and fresh in this dress. She is with a group of young people, and her dress is appropriate for the visit.

    1. I don't agree with you about the dress, but I totally agree with you about your comment about bodyshaming. You are so right and it is soooo false to do it!

    2. In commenting on how clothes look on someone it is almost impossible not to take the age and body shape into account. Can you imagine what the comments would be if one of the dresses worn by the Queen, which look entirely appropriate on her were worn by one of the younger taller royals? Equally what looks good on the tll more statuesque (not a euphemism for fat!!) Queen Maxima would look ridiculous on the petite (not a euphemism for small or skinny!) Queen Letizia. It's not body shaming, just fact

  19. Few royals demonstrate the high level of involvement and sincerely with which Meghan shows whereever she goes. She simply glows and come alive in the crowds of people and with children. I love the white dress, despite the fact it is a tad short, but she is youthful and slim and can pull it off when many of us can't. I love the clean lines of her clothes and her use of solid colors for the most part. They aren't busy and and distracting from the job she is there to do.
