  1. Mary is so pretty! Anyone agree with me?

  2. I do. She has a lovely facial profile. I much prefer Mary's look to Madame Macron's.

  3. Brigitte has lowered her hemline a bit, but needs to pull it down a little more. She's trying to look youthful, but this is not the way to do it. Look at the contrast between her dress and Mary's. Also you don't see Melania Trump on her official duties in these short skirts and she is definitely not matronly.

  4. I totally agree! Mary is beautiful and always well dressed...

  5. To short dress on aunt Macron, but we are used to see it nowadays. She obviously sees something else than reality when she sees herself in the mirror! Mary and Margrethe are lovely but best dressed is Benedikte.

  6. Where was French born Princess Marie ???
    Pine:
Madame Macron is closer in age to the Queen than to CP Mary, unfair comparision!
    I think Mary's dress looks a bit auntie-like.

    1. Yes, a pity that Marie was not there. She could have given a lot of advice to Mme Macron as for french style!

    2. Ah, I see the photo of Marie only now!

    3. Marie, Joachim and Bendikte were there as well. But they arrived a little later. And they're not "first-row-royals", that's why they're not in the official photos.

I'm sure there will be a state dinner, can't wait to see them again in ball gowns, including Brigitte. And yes, so wish her daughter will come to her rescue, and advice mother to drop the hemlines, according to her age. I absolutely love Brigitte's hair though, as thick as Diana's hair was

  10. Oh Princess Marie looks so lovely as well! Really love her outfit..

Seems like red was the colour of this day :D

  11. Mary in red looks stunning...beautiful dress, hairdo, and brooch. Also like Benedikte, simple and elegant.

  12. Knee-length dress is ok for Mme Macron, better hemline than before. Midi often looks matronly, you have to be very tall for it.

I wholeheartedly agree, Mary is an absolute asset to her adoptive country! I just wish she can have a hair cut, the buns make her look like a grandmother

  14. omg, Mary looks so fantastic! I love that outfit and style!
Mrs Macron also looks very good in her outfit, imho!

    The others are nice to.

President Macron is so handsome <3

  15. ah, saw bigger pics of marys outfit now.
Still love it, but I don't like the snake-leather-shoes.

  16. Brigitte´s outfit is one of her better ones, thanks to the slightly longer hemline. It´s obviously still too short. However, as much as Brigitte Macron´s hem is too short, I feel that Mary´s is too long. Her midi-dress, along with her hair in a bun, makes her look matronly.
I really like Margrethe´s dress, which has just the right proportions and looks both elegant and comfortable. Also, she is dressed just right for late summer, whereas Brigitte´s coats reads winter coat to me and looks odd in august.
Marie looks very nice, albeit a bit plain. Her outfit needs some more accessorizing; the red shoes are a good idea but not enough to create a wow-effect.
Benedikte looks good but also pale. Could be the flash photo though. Her style is impeccable, her taste is pure class.

  17. La reine et la princesse sont très élégantes.Brigitte Macron est pas coiffée et elle devrait cacher ses genoux.
Je pensais que les protocoles se mettaient d'accord pour éviter les robes de même couleur, heureusement là cela ne jure pas trop !!!

  18. Beautiful reception of the French presidential couple. In the picture of the reception at Amalienborg Castle they form the colors of the French flag with the colors of their clothes. I am sure it is Queen Margrethe's idea

  19. Interesting, I always suspected Mme Macron is wearing a wig, but never saw comments from respectable sources. But it certainly looks unnatural. Her hemlines are (slowly) progressing in the right direction. But now she’s dressing for winter in the middle of a hot summer day? Seems she’s always at odds with what one could call ‘common sense’.

I agree with Vanessa in terms of the dress lengths for Mary and the queen. Especially as Mary is a tall lady, that particular hemline falls in a way that makes her look massive. She looks much better in shorter lengths (maybe she can give the extra fabric to Mme Macron?). The queen is regal without trying too hard and Benedikte is classy in her usual understated way. One last thought: the two gents (Frederick and Mr Macron) look dapper indeed. Some other royals/heads of state could take notes.

  20. Princess Mary looks lovely and elegant, don't care much for her hair, makes her look older. Marie looks very good and youthful. Mme Macron is a mess, her legs are fine but her knees are just bony. Her hair is messy, her extensions are not working well even though it makes her hair fuller.

  21. All ladies look good and true to their style. CP Mary wore the same dress in an orange-red color and short sleeves to royal Ascot in 2016. It looked good then but even better now in a rich red.
