Official Greece visit of Duchess Camilla and Prince Charles

On the third and final day of their visit to Greece, Prince Charles of Wales and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall visited the Knossos Archaeological Site and Knossos Research Centre on the island of Crete. Knossos was the centre of the Minoan culture of Bronze Age Crete, established around 7,000 BC. Then, the Prince and the Duchess took part in dancing during a traditional festival in the village of Acharnes.

  3. Beautiful place - a lot of history and fun. Love the duchesses tunic ensemble. Good choice for dancing the Sirtaki. Charles and Camilla are meant for eachother and (after a bypass) they can finally live together. A modern fairytale:-)

A fairytale??? Let us never forget how much grief they caused Diana. She was the best dressed woman ever.

    2. I could never respect Charles and Camilla for how they cheated and treated Diana - but what does that have to do with Diana being 'the best dressed woman ever?

    3. With all due respect to Diana, but she was not the best dressed woman ever. She was a stylishly dressed woman for her era of fashion-the 80's and 90's.

I don't believe there is such a thing as "best dressed woman ever" because fashion is always changing and clothing that was in style 20 years ago looks dated today, and the clothing today will look dated 20 years from now.
So basically there will never be a way to give that title to just one singular woman. Yes, you can be one of the best dressed women of your time, but never of all time.

Like Coco Chanel stated "fashion fades but style is eternal".

    4. Agree with both of you. I find it difficult to respect them.

    5. Charles and Camilla didn't behave well - but neither did Diana. She had at least 6 affairs herself not to mention harassing phone calls to the wives of men she was involved with. It was a messy, nasty set of events all round with faults and mistakes on all sides. No-one came out of it well, IMO. I still think Charles and Camilla are a nice couple.

    6. Anonymous (May 11 11:32) and Gabriella, I totally agree. And they caused grief not only to Diana, but also to her children.

    7. Gabriella, we may never know what the real truth of this triangledrama is. Did you know Diana personally? I see a happy couple together..

    8. Of course Diana was not a saint. But the main point is: she was a very naive young woman who did not know. She had no choice.
Charles and Camilla had a choice!

Diana's poor decisions came after she could no longer exist in the 'triangledrama'. This gives some people a reason to question her morals, but it seems she was starry eyed at the beginning, then totally disappointed when the truth emerged.

    10. Oh please. Some of her affairs she was in her thirties! The naive young ingenue goes only so far. Of course she had a choice. She was an adult. Nobody forced her to have so many affairs and nobody forced her to make nasty phone calls to a woman who was in the same situation as her as the cheated on wife. Nobody comes out of this whole sorry saga well.

    11. I agree so much with Franny. Diana was very far from being such a saint some people still want her to be. Early years of their marriage were bad for all these people, not less to Charles. I think all three were victims of too conservative thinking in modern era. Charles and Diana should never have married, they had nothing common. Also to have a mistress was a regular thing in old royal circles, it must have been a shock to realize how this modern world thought today´s royals should be faithful even when they shared nothing and even did not like each others. This same public themselves is of course very easy to be unfaithful themselves. I really can not see how Charles´s cheating was any worse than Diana´s. They both did they part in miserable marriage.

Jana is also right about Diana´s dressing, she was big example of her era, had some great numbers but also had a lot total failures. I think Catherine is far better dressed over all than Diana ever was.

    12. I agree with Franny and with Blondini. I greatly admired Diana for her elegant beauty, given that some 80s fashion was awful and also for her compassion. However, while accepting the naive young girl bit at the start of her marriage, and the appalling lack of training for the role, she was certainly not a saint. It's lovely to see Charles and Camilla together, looking so happy and so much in love. They deserve it.

Once again, she has the perfect outfit, lovely style, and looks fantastic in it. She has worn this outfit before, or something very similar (perhaps in India?) and looked great in it then as well.
Charles too looks very dapper. Very nice colours on both of them.

    1. Agree with you Anonymous. It is a beautiful outfit. I watched the dance on video and was relieved that the music didn’t quicken up, otherwise the outfits would have been covered in sweat.

Well they are just not inspiring me, it comes from the deepest of myself. Often I just skip news about them... This time I was probably inspired by Greece.
