Duchess Catherine attended a symposium at RSM in London

On March 21, 2018, Duchess Catherine of Cambridge attended a symposium at the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) in London held by The Royal Foundation under the chairmanship of Professor Sir Simon Wessely. At the symposium, recommendations relating to research of mother and baby health, which will bring together academicians, researchers, implementers, educators and charity organizations were discussed. The Duchess gave a speech at that event. (The Duchess wore a bespoke green Jenny Packham coat and dress, with her Gianvito Rossi Praline suede pumps).

  3. The spring green coat is beautifully fitted and tailored! How nice that she is able to get outfits now that fit her tall body. She does look lovely.

    1. Bad posture? She's in the last weeks of pregnancy. There's a big baby inside her. Makes it hard to stand up straight, but she is managing superbly -- and in high heels.

    2. True she is pregnant, but Catherine has always had bad posture. Just go back and look at pictures of her when she is NOT pregnant. This has been a pet peeve of mine about her. She really needs to work on putting her shoulders back and standing straight. I guess I notice that so much because when I was young that was one thing my mother always lectured me about "stand up straight" she would tell me over and over again and guess what, I stand up straight because of my mother's nagging about it when I was growing up. Just look at Queen Letizia of Spain. Now that lady has good posture! Catherine should stand up straight like Letizia does.

    3. I also had a mother who lectured on straight back posture. I also notice this in others. But truly - to criticize and be annoyed on this point - is I feel unfair to a lovely young woman who appears to be making a significant effort to support some very important causes with grace and compassion

    4. She has bad posture and everyone knows that. It is not an insult to notice. Don't be so sensitive, MCZ.
Btw someone once mentioned her posture is better when she wears flats instead of heels. Maybe she feels uncomfortable in huge heels. I would too.

Queen Laetizia stands straight nowadays. But if you go back lets say 6yrs she had bad posture either. But you're right, the Duchess should work on it, just like Laetizia.
I think this comes from inside. She has to accept she is taller than most people she meets.

  6. I do not like the color though. But she looks radiant. I think this will be the last engagements she will have for a while.

    1. Same, I don't like green at all, but it fits Catherine very well..

    2. Glad others agree. It's altogether too green! Perhaps black dress with the coat or vice versa. However, she does look lovely. Thank goodness she hasn't ditched the heels. I've yet to see the person who looks elegant in flats

  7. She looks radiant. I envy how she can look so good at that weeks really and is still having high heels. I was looking just tired elephants when pregnant those weeks.

  8. I cannot believe it, the Duchess is getting more beautiful by the day!. And she is working nearly every day. Astonishing. I am impressed, not least with her outfits during the last 3 months. Thumbs up for Kate!

It strikes me that some bloggers praise the Duchess so much for continuing to fulfill her commitments in her state. I do not want to detract from the Duchess but there are many women in the world in their same state, with much harder jobs, children to attend and little help. The Duchess is really hardworking but lucky about her own circumstances comparing with most women in the world.

    2. Maria, well remarked! Thanks!

    3. That is true Maria. Duchess is an icon but people adore her like she is a godess. She is the only royal adored so much. Have you noticed so many compliments for anyone else? I haven't. She is not more special than Victoria, Letizia, Marie, etc. She does her job perfectly but there are more difficult jobs in the world. Imagine pregnant nurses, teachers,...

    4. I totally agree Lassie!

    5. Lassie I do not think people "adore" Catherine more than the others. Actually we have seen some really hard core hate talk just with Catherine here. Only other who has get as much is Sofia.

But these days I and many others have praised her simply because she looks so good and radiant with this pregnancy.

Also I cannot understand how it is anything away from those nurses, teachers etc. if appreciating Catherine´s work. She does not need to go to factory line to three sift work to get her justification, this just is a blog of royal fashion and royal people.

    6. Blondini.
She is most popular royal, I am not talking just about this blog. In Croatia she is often on magazine covers, which never happens for other royals.
This is a royal blog, and she does her duty perfectly, but some people are surprised by that. There are many jobs and I appreciate all of them, but why would you be surprised if a princess does her job and doesn't just enjoy in a castle?

      Delete
    7. Lassie who says I am surprised she does her job? I just said she does her job, the nurses and teachers do theirs. If we are pleased she does her job it is nothing away from nurses and teachers. But what I am, I am actually very surprised how we women still seem to be such a wolves against these royal ladies, nothing is enough what they do, especially when pregnant. Nobody complains what ordinary not pregnant princesses do or don´t, but these pregnant ones we seem to look through magnify glass. Take example about British royal house the York girls, when have you seen a post about them working? Still nobody question they spending their time. If I remember right Beatrice had one year 28 holidays...

    8. I didn't say you were surprised. Read other comments.. We have completely different things in mind while discussing this topic. Let's just give up.

  9. She looks wonderful, although I would prefer the bow was omitted - it has hints of those awful 1950's maternity smocks. Her work ethic is admirable.

  10. KarenAR, maybe your mother should have told you something more than just ‘stand up straight’. Is this really all you can say about a charming and elegant woman like Kate?

  11. I don't want to destroy all the praises about Catherine. But this is one boring dress! And yes, I think she looked better during this pregnancy than she ever has. But this does not make this dress and color a good one for a woman in her midthirties.

  12. I love this so much. It is great to see her in a colour not just white, black or navy. Unfortunately we may not see this outfit again. She has some beautiful maternity clothes.

  13. From a fashion sense only : lovely colour but perhaps not one of the best for the beautiful young Duchess. Kudos to her and to all women who continue on with their duties late into pregnancy . They are to be admired and respected

  14. I don't like this outfit, neither the color or the fabric, it looks old fashioned and matronly, on the other hand she looks radiant, and I love the shoes.

    1. I totally agree with all you have said.

I think she often dresses much older than she really is.
And it's not impossible to dress elegant and modest and at the same time looking like your age.
I really don't understand why Catherine is raised so much for her style.
      She has so much potential...

    2. Cherry Blossom, Caroline8, totally agree with you.

  15. Gorgeous colour! Not keen on the bow. I would love to see this coat altered into a younger, less "Queenly" style post pregnancy. Catherine could perhaps do what the Princess of Wales once did and alter maternity ensembles for postpartum wear.
