Princess Leonore enrolled in a preschool in Stockholm

Yesterday, Princess Leonore who is the three years old daughter of Princess Madeleine of Sweden and Chris O'Neill enrolled in a preschool education institution in Stockholm. The family will keep on residing in London but Princess Leonore and Prince Nicolas will regularly receive education in Sweden. That means Princess Madeleine will be in Sweden more often. One of the musts of bearing the title of Prince and Princess in Sweden is to receive a good Swedish language education.

    1. De meme que Madeleine est la beaute de sa famille, ses enfants sont les plus beaux, ce qui n'enleve rien aux attraits de leur cousine & leurs cousins.

  2. Realizing that you did not intend to offend, I do not think it is ever appropriate to rank people according to their looks, especially children.

  3. P.s. However, I'm all for ranking their fashions.

  4. How is living in one country and going to school in another going to work out? Sweden during the week and London during the weekend? Sounds like a lot of extra travel and stress, especially on the kids.

  5. It is extremely stressful to commute back and forth. There is a Swedish school in London called Svenska Skolan where Madeleine's children can have a complete high quality Swedish education and interact with Swedish children without the stress of commuting. As it is, the children spend the whole summer in Sweden as well as a good part of December and other times there as well. Perhaps this has something to do with the requirement for the retention of royal titles.

    1. I think you are right Beverley - the requirement is that they have to be educated in Sweden in order to remain in the line of succession. Although, as their likelihood of succeeding to any higher rank is pretty slim, I would have thought it would not be of great importance to them.

    2. Being educated in Sweden, I dont think it means going to pre school. Education starts at first grade. This is a ridiculous attempt to say the child is being educated in Sweden.

  6. Maybe Madeleine and the children will be based mostly in Stockholm and Chris will do the travel from London on the weekends?

    1. That's a tough and exhausting way for Chris to live.

    2. Yes, it is. But how will Leonore go to a school in Sweden without being based in Sweden? It is puzzling 🤔

  7. According to the royal house they are not going to move to Sweden now.

  8. A slight correction to what the admin posted which is incorrect.
Leonore started her first day of school in Stockholm today. She will be attending the remainder of this month and all of September. The royal house stated that Madeleine and her family have no plans to move to Sweden but that when they do visit they feel it is important that Leonore have a somewhere to go while in the city so she can continue to learn and make friends.
Leonore already goes to a school in London as well.

  9. If Madeleine is doing all this for her & the kids to retain their titles why? Why do her kids need a title?
M rarely does events on behalf of the Royal Family outside of birthdays/weddings etc. If her kids did keep the title they would just be minor royals and very far down the line of succession once Victoria and CPs children start having families.

  10. Perhaps there is more going on than meets the eye.

  11. The most important thing for Madeleine and Chris may be that the children remain HRH of Sweden even though they are only number 8 and 9 in the succession.

  12. I think the kids can be Swedish princess/prince only by going to school in Sweden.

    1. They need to be raised and attend school in Sweden. However I dont considerado attending pré school a few weeks a year, studiyng or being raised in Sweden. I like Madeleine but this is manipulation of the constitution basically. 😐

  13. They must attend school from six, seven years of age. This would just be a first acclimatisation.
I'm glad you like Madeleine because she's more or less persecuted by some of the Swedish media, and many people seem to easily jump to negative conclusions when it comes to Madeleine.

    1. I dont jump to conclusions regardless. But I agree, she is in many ways persecuted and Chris too!

    2. I am not so sure the is persecuted without any reason of her own. She has gotten so many chances really and again and again she has behaved to make it look bad to herself. I really hope that being now mother makes her more adult. About Chris, I would hope he is left alone when there is no official royal role.

    3. I don't know what she has done except not really wanting to be a princess.
AFAIK she has accepted to be after her parents would not let her resign from her royal status.
Other members of the Swedish Royal Family have long histories that do look much, much worse.

  14. The primary concern probably isn't the title or the throne, but that Leonore needs prescool and buddies also when in Sweden.
