  3. She dresses way too old. Like a modest 50-year old matron. That's probably the way they are in Japan.

    1. There is absolutely nothing wrong with dressing conervatively. She looks lovely, not a hair out of place and the clothing fits well, versus looking too trendy or tight or short. Others could take a lesson from her.

  4. Poor Mako. How old is she? I bet, she would love to wear something more stylish than the etiqette of Japan demands. Strong traditions.

  7. She is going to marry a "commoner" and will lose her royal status so I guess then she will be able to wear what she likes! Freedom!

  8. We Japanese wants to see Princess Mako wears a more lovely dress.
However, the malicious grandmother (the Empress) does not permit it.
All women of the Akishino Family always wear quiet clothes not to attract attention.

    1. Makoto, there are wonderful traditions and characters in and about Japan, which I truly admire about your beautiful country. But I am sure for this one (royal etiquette/fashion): it will change in future for the better of the younger Royals. Don't you think so?
