  1. The top/dress is nice and the colour becomes her. The necklace is very meh. As for her makeup and general look I wouldn't dare to say anything because dear God, this is probably the heaviest photoshop that has ever been applied to a royal's photo.

    1. You think there is so much photoshop? How do you know? I think Sofia is a very pretty and appealing young woman. And she does quite a good job in her new role as a princess. Sweden can be proud of her!

    3. I´m not an expert on photo editing, but I don´t see a lot of photoshopping here. The photo is probably touched up, but not in an obvious in-your-face kind of editing.
Also, while I think that Sofia is ok-looking, I feel that this photo is not especially flattering. I wouldn´t have released it (photo-shopped or not).

    4. I don't believe there's any Photoshop. This is a picture on the Royal Family's website. This is not a new photo.

    5. As a matter of fact I studied photography so if nothing else than this might help a bit in noticing if a picture was retouched or not.
The fact that the photo was retouched has nothing to do with her physical appearance, which is a subjective cathegory and to which I made no reference. It has nothing to do with her quality as princess, to which I made no reference either.

  2. That's not a new photo of Sofia, that picture is at least 3 years old.

    1. I think I saw it before. As for Photoshop, who knows? She still seems to have a gap in her teeth

    2. The photo is from 2014, it was from their set of engagement photos. I could care less if it was photoshopped, some people on this blog will criticize Sofia no matter what. I don't see anything wrong with the photo. She looks lovely to me.

    3. Who cares if the photo is old or not? Also, re-read my comment please. I didn't criticise her, I stated that the photo was heavily retouched.
I guess my comment on the colour becoming her also counts as criticism.

    4. @ Chelsea, you are soooo right!

  3. Yes, old photo from the engagement period. The visible tattoos and teeth were a problem for me, but her Prince loves them, so who am I to comment. Lol.

  4. ZL; Where do you see here that massive photoshoping? I cannot see it. I see where the light came (and setting of lights were not any good in this picture IMO, picture is too flat). Her skin tone is normal, her arms look normal. She does not have any wrinkles to hide and her skin is good. Eyes and teeht are her normal color. Neck looks at first glanze narrow but she has hair in front of it. Backround color is good, so there is good white balance , some setings with highlights and shadows (what is done to every photo taken by professional photographer), nothing more.

Here are some pictures of her engagement day, I think she looks very much like those other unphotoshoped pictures.

    1. Blondiini, highlighting, smoothing, colouring, contrast modification, erasing, just the obvious ones. The eye colour is enhanced too.
I don't understand, you named a series of retouching techniques then you say it's not photoshopped. Those are all photoshop features!

    2. ZL; Those things what I did mention are all same things what wear old days done when developing film. They are really done to every single picture taken and published by photographer today. Those things are moreover done either in Lightroom nor in Bridge, not in Photoshop. We do not have here any (maybe some selfies or pictures taken by commoners at streets) pictures where that has not been done. I do not keep that as pshotoshopping really, it is still just developing picture. Those things can also be done to pictures what you send to competition, even though any photoshoping is not permitted. To me photoshoping is making something look different, for example taking away wrinkles, changing eye color, teeth color, slimming something, changing things, making photo completely different etc.

Here are the pictures I tried to show earlier: http://www.chic.se/bildextra-fran-forlovningen-ringen-kyssen-och-kladerna/ I think Sofia looks just the same as in this picture today. Even eye color is just the same. I can see no erasing.

And yes, I am photographer and can photoshop myself is nessessary quite well.

    1. Why must you ALWAYS bash another on all your comments? I suppose you yourself have a perfect body? Ha doubtful.

You are rude and without any class. And rather boring... ad nauseaum

    2. Diane, just disregard her.

  9. Regardless of her unflattering past, I like her behavior as a representative of the royal household. Discreet, always well dressed, a radiant mother and a very active, well-working princess. Unlike Kate who has always caused concern to the British royal family since dating times for her little love of work.

    1. And another one who likes to bash someone who is not in this post. Stop comparing them. Plus it is a fashion blog.

Btw there are new pics out that show that Kate was at a private fundraiser for one of her causes. She does much under the radar that you never see.

And if we must compare? I love Sofia and feel that she is doing well and a past is just that a PAST BUT Kate never was a tried and failed D list celebrity. Nor did she run around barely dressed posing for soft porn. So hardly fair to bring up Kate with this Princess. In fact comparing the BRF to the SRF is ridiculous. Do you not see how ugly it can become?

      Zip it.

    2. Diane Brown I posted my opinion !!! I did not read in this blog rules that we can only put opinions of people who appear in the post.

Is this blog just fashionable? I see here many enriching opinions on the behaviors, rules, and history of royalty I believe many like.

I love this blog !!! I've been going there for years !!! And unfortunately I avoid posting my opinions here often because I always see you being impertinent and inelegant with the people who here post their opinions ignoring. You ignore their opinion and want to make yours their own. This behavior is recurring and I have seen many people losing patience with you !!!

Please respect the opinion of people who do not have to think like you !!! You do not own the truth !!! Your opinion is not absolute !!!

    3. You avoid posting because of me? Well you give me too much credit dear.

      Impertinent? Inelegant?

      Pot.Kettle.Black.

I do respect others. I do also have to the right to ask why we must compare these women and also bash those that are not perhaps your favorite. That my dear is impertinent and definitely inelegant.

      You have a good day

    4. Losing patience with me? Who? The two who spew ugliness on every post and always poke at Kate and Letizia? I really don't care if they have lost patience with me. Most ignore them.

Suddenly I am laughing. Oops now I am being impertinent 😉

  10. You have the right to comment !!! But you can comment without rebuffing the opinion of others because each one has yours. The problem is that you think all people have to agree with you.

I do not know where you got that you always spou reviewed from Kate and Letícia. I am a Letizia-style enthusiast, especially for having developed an independent career before joining the royal family.

Respect the opinion of others !!
