  1. That's perfect look - queenly, sophisticated, modern. It's all white and black but after dresses in all range of colours on this trip I really like that kind of whole look.

  6. Oh, I like THAT (minus the bit of fabric hanging below the skirt´s hemline). The pearls are gorgeous.

  7. This is a nicely constructed dress and suits her. The accessories are lovely, her hair too, as is the whole look. I'm not a fan of her shoes but they aren't ugly and they go well with the rest of the outfit. Very Máxima, very queenly appearance :)

I don't really get the children's clothes however. I know, the blog is not about them but really, if you expect the king and the queen to dress appropriately for the occasion, giving the due respect to the people who appear there shouldn't those children who gave them the flowers be dressed in something appropriate too? I mean, my family was poor (very poor compared to an average or even below the average australian family now) when I was a child but we all had a nice dress for the cold days and another one for the warmer summer ones. Besides, isn't this the perfect occasion for those little girls to play a bit of dress up? I just don't get it.
