Oh dear. The skirt is not appropriate. Something more tailored and less "party" would have been better, especially with a high necked sweater. I guess the tights will be mentioned but I think they would have worked with a different skirt. And there seems to be a brown belt in some photos that clashes with everything else.

حذفHeather, the necklace-thing is easy to explain: in wide areas of Iceland, Finland and Norway do live fairys. I am not kidding, Iceland used to have a sort of Minister for fairys, her name was Erla Stefánsdóttir. These little ghosts love BlingBling and so every now and than they steal a necklace, but then bring it back. If you happen to come across them: join in their singing and dancing, but do not share food with them. If you do, you will not return to the human beings. (I have been told so.)

ردحذفoh man - that skirt! Wrong colour, wrong material, wrong style, wrong length. I would have chosen an a-line knee-length skirt, either wool or velvet, even curderoy can look great, maybe dark red or dark green, or with a subtle pattern.
ردحذفIn the royal world of fashion with women like Queen Letizia, Duchess Catherine, and Countess Sophie, this is very sad. Is there not anyone close to this Princess that can help her with her clothing? She may be a very nice person who does good work, but there is an image that should be maintained. I feel bad for her.
ردحذفThe top part is actually not that bad. But that skirt 😮 Mette-Marit's appearance is getting more and more disturbing in my eyes. Something in this forced smile with squeezed lips tells me she is not happy. She lost all her glow. I think she needs a rest to sort herself out. Hard to believe that there is nobody there to help her. I feel bad for her too.

ردحذفI would never ever wear thick black tights with this sort of springy light coloured skirt, in fact I find the two things together pretty ugly but strangely enough I think she doesn't look that bad either. One thing I noticed though, this kind of turtlenecks are hard to pull off. A bit lower neck, a tighter neckline or the kind of neck that doesn't turn down looks so much polished. Her jacket is a pretty piece however and I like the curls in her hair (I really made an effort to say as much positive things about her look as it's possible :)
