  3. Mary is very appropiately dressed and elegant. I like her colour matched hat-gloves-shoes. But wow, Fredo looks, how to put it nicely, extremely bored, even annoyed. Like, in every single photo. I'm not a big fan of drawing serious conclusions based on a photo but it's easy to be more permissive when it's 5 or 6 photos, not just one :D Anyway, he made some funny faces indeed :)

    1. I think it is just these photos
Take a look at other photo series for example PPE and you can see the Crown Prince was very much engaged and interested in the event.
The Crown Princess looks just perfectly dressed for the event
My favorite photo of the series

    2. If you look at the rest of the audience, you will note no one is smiling ear to ear. It is, as has already been said, a solemn occasion. Broad grins or smirks would be inappropriate. I then they both look very regal and very engaged.

    3. I don't doubt it's a solemn occasion and I'm sure smiling ear to ear would be inappropiate. It's not that I miss him smiling, it's the overwhelming amount of pics where he looks like he is bored to death or kind of numb. I'm talking about these pics at this site, I don't go around the whole web looking for every single photo taken at an event. But don't get mad, I find it rather funny (not the occasion, I have absolute respect for anyone serving his/her country), it's his faces, out of context, that I find funny. I think I never saw him like this before, that might be the reason.

  4. Mary may not born a royalty, but she worked her way up among them that I can proudly say she's made it. Perhaps its because she's had the previlege to be around in the thick of the oldest monarchies in Europe.

  5. CP Mary as always looked stunning. I though CP Frederik looked solemn, which seemed appropriate for the occasion.

At one stage I though Mary may have been tearing up and wiping away a tear, but that is just my interpretation of a photo, perhaps she just had something in her eye.

  7. Love the accessories. Hat coordinating with shoes, fab brooch. But the belt is the best. It really pulls CPM's outfit together. Of all the royal ladies, I think she has the best stylist.
