    1. Karin, why question marks ?
They are nice family including their looks. Very natural pleasant summer photo.

  3. I guess they wished they could have changed the date for this session to another day. They all look a bit exhausted, and the smiles are not so bright this year. Just the dog waits for jumping and playing...What a beautiful place to live!! (The eldest needs to loose a few pounds for her own health. To much pressure already?)

    1. Ohhh now I see it.

Yes we should not discuss the weight of a teen age girl. Below the belt. Don't go there ever!

    2. Why shouldn't we?
Why should be that taboo when it is such a big problem with so many people (any age) getting too fat.

  5. Speedy recovery to Amalia and Maxima. This family really had its share of accidents this year, first Alexia, then Maxima and now Amalia. Poor girls, I hope the rest of the year will be smooth and healthy for them.

    Is Alexia's hair turning red?

  6. Pleased to see Maxima looking well and as beautiful as ever.

Alexia is growing up to be a beautiful girl with what looks like strawberry blond locks, however it may just be the light.

I think commenting on a pubescent youngsters weight is very rude. Some young people go through their puberty without any weight gain, pimples or acne however many encounter one of sadly all three, it is simple a part of life and made even more difficult when one is in the public eye.

All three young ladies look to be lovely individuals. If their nature is anything like their Grandmother, or either of their parents they are going to grow up to be beautiful people inside and out.

    1. Agree! WE should never ever trash kids on their weight, clothes or look. They are kids for gods sake. These 3 girls looks absolutely lovely. Nothing wrong with them! And good to see Maxima back on her feet again.

    2. We should always help kids to build confidence but also be careful about their diet and encourage them to excersize and eat healthy. :)

    3. Well said Lassie! I was overweight at that age and I wish my parents had been more proactive at getting a proper handle on it instead of the usual, “It’s just ‘baby fat,’ part of growing up; it will fall off naturally as you grow up, etc.” Saying those things are just as damaging as bullying someone about their weight. Everyone is so obsessed with being politically correct instead of honestly addressing a problem. Yes, we are all different and mature differently *and* because of that we have to be realistic and realize some of us actually have to work at our physical health – even as a kid and “pubescent youngster.” Some of us have to exercise differently (not necessarily more but differently), eat differently (not “diet” or “starve” but *eat* differently) in order to achieve and maintain the proper weight for our height and age. Pointing that out (whether for someone in the public eye or for someone who is not) is not being cruel, it’s being honest and realistic. Yes, there are polite ways of saying it and unkind ways of saying it but addressing it in and of itself is not cruel. Brushing it aside, telling the person not to worry about it, and or building false confidence about it is what is cruel. And understand and be clear; I am talking from personal experience of having been overweight at that age *and* as someone who has a science degree in healthcare. As with anything involving health it has to be properly addressed. It needs to be determine *why* the individual (male or female) is not at a healthy and proper weight (overweight or underweight) for their age group – is it physiological, biological, psychological, emotional, environmental or some combination of these factors. Only then can a proper and sensible course of action be determined. And the sooner that happens in life the healthier the person will be for their entire life – physically *AND* emotionally.

    4. Lassie what we do to the kids in our life is one thing, but we should never ever trash royal kids or any kids at all on the web! How much confidence do they get of comments on their weight or the way they look? None at all, only more problems when they already are in a sensitive state as we know kids this age are.

    5. Unknown, well said!
Louse, I'm sure royal kids won't read this blog. :)
Adults are aware that trashing can be painful, that I agree. But kids are cruel to each other. They can really be mean to owerwight peers.
Parents should take care of their children's weight in order to improve health and protect them from bullying.

    6. @ Unknown, didn't you ever hear that children and adults are getting fat not because of all the things you mention but mostly because they all eat too much FOOD,seat at the computers or TV and not moving around enough.
We all know that it started to be epidemic of fat and obese people .And if we won't talk about it people will get not even fatter and fatter but will get all different sicknesses because of it.
You don't have to have university degree to know it!

    7. So since you think she doesn't read this blog we can say what we want? No we can't. We can behave anyway. They are kids and why should we treat them other then ours? If we don't want others to treat our kids this way why do we feel it's OK to treat the royal kids so mean. When we have written it on the Web it's out there for eternity and how do we know that mean kids don't tell them what is written about them or they find it out themselves. So we can behave as sensible adults and be a good role model for the young on net behavior.

    8. I didn't say we should be mean but being overwight is NOT HEALTHY and hiding it won't bring anything well.
Many people fight against this, where would we be if they were afraid to emphasize negative sides of fatness in order not to insult anyone?

    9. Lassie ,I agree with you .
The more we talk about it is the better for people who are overweight.

  9. This blog , website is for commenting.
It is big difference between commenting and laughing or making rude remarks.
PS. Of course Queens Maxima daughter is fat. At her age and with doing so much sport she should be much thinner.

  10. Let's at least let her get through puberty before we start throwing insults (or not throw any at all, preferably!). I doubt very much that Maxima and WA would allow any of their daughters to take an unhealthy path through life ! And I'm sure if there was a problem, as parents they would address the matter as they saw fit !As adults and parents ourselves we should know better than to be so openly critical of a child !
