The Duchess Cambridge receives new patronage from Prince Philip

Prince Philip has passed on his patronage of the RAF Air Cadets to the Duchess of Cambridge. After 63 years with the RAF Air Cadets, the Queen's husband has relinquished his role as Air Commodore-in-Chief. The private ceremony took place at Buckingham Palace, during an audience with Air Commodore Dawn McCafferty. The Duchess will now become Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadet Organisation, a group of 42,000 air cadets and 15,000 adult volunteers at more than 1,200 units across the UK and abroad.

  1. I really like seeing the Duchess in longer length skirts, pencil style, like this one. I think it's a very elegant look.

    1. I think knee length is much more elegant than a short skirt

    2. I agree. Normally her skirts are too short.

    3. MTE. its because she has such a long lean legs that short skirts don't do justice, if she wish to flaunt her leg she could go the Queen Letizia way by wearing those tailored pants that fits her perfectly.

  2. Just one more organization for her to let down when she refuses to promote them

    1. Gosh, you are completeluy predictable. What deep (or superficial) inner need makes you so ready to spread unkindness whenever you can?. This isn't just a difference between liking someone's style or not. You have a visceral hatred for HRH. So strange to think what this hatred springs from. And why you chose her (since there are so many people in the world who are really doing evil things), as the reason to spew out all that hatred.

  5. Catherina can never win:
She looks good – look how easy her life is with all that staff, she should go working (factory line work would be best as ordinary mothers do)
She looks bad – cannot even take care of herself. Princess Diana was never looking out so old and tired (yeah, Diana died at age 36 and will never get older than that. Diana married Charles at age 20, Catherine married William at age 29, sure they look different)

She works – she is lazy, we don´t count THAT work because my mother works more and why is she not taking care of her children anyway
She is doing some charity work – again we don´t count that, it is not a right target. She is lazy when she is not doing work in factory line instead like my mum
She is doing some real royalty work – she is just showing new expensive clothes (should go there with overalls instead when others have evening gowns)
She is having tiara – she looks wrong again, tiara is wrong, wrong color clothes, wrong hair-do, wrong make up, wrong appearance, Queen should not let her do that kind of work at all (actually would be best if Catherine wears also only children´s fake tiaras)
She is not doing royalty work – she should not let the Queen do so much work, only Catherine is to be blamed that old queen is working hard
She does not work – taking care off 5 moth old baby and two years old is NOT a proper work to anybody because my granmother had no mother leave (well in this country you can stay at home until youngest child is three years old)
She is not doing her shopping – how lazy she is again
She is shopping – She should mail order things so that other people would not be disturbed seeing her out

She is wearing red/violet/blue/green/yellow/orange/black/brown/grey/white (including all shades of those) – she is imitating very much Princess Diana

She is wearing clothes – again clear imitation
She is going to holiday – my grandmother never traveled so should not Catherine. Let her husband and family travel without her, that would be proper to a modest future queen

      Tottaly agree with you.
The all 'Princess Diana did ...' is so boring! She was a really good person and worked hard, but late in her life ... in the begining of her as Princess of Wales, she was just a mother.
And, by the way, the Prince of Wales is still the same, with another wife - they are supose to work hard, because he will be the next monarch and her the queen consort - Willian is just the heir to the heir.

    3. Blondiini, your comment is hilarious! a wonderful spoof on the lack of logic of some comments we see here.
It is so true that, for the person who dislikes Kate, every single thing Kate does must, by definition, be wrong.

    4. Blondiini you're so funny Your comment is hilarious! I totally agree with everything u said. There's a lot of haters on this site trying to justify their hatred comments over & over which is getting really boring.
I hope u will post more of these hilarious comments in the future.

It is further more than stalking and this bolg is his plattform and probably not the only one. The reason for such a behaviour is self-hating. If you have done a lot of nasty things and you can not forgive yourself, you are going on with doing nasty things forever.

  7. Really now, a person sees what (and what not) the Duchess does and what she wears, her personality as a public figure, and there is all of this nonsense. She is the future Queen Consort of the UK and a public figure and her choices are legitimate comment. If she does not work very much people have a right to comment! And not only here but to her directly! And if she is doing a good job then people also have a right to say so. If she looks ill-dressed then the people she represents and their sympathizers have a right to comment! And when she looks and behaves well then the supportive comments are legitimate also.

People on this blog tend not to understand the nature of a public (royal) figure. Anonymous 11:20, truly you are so far out of line and so far off topic, what on earth are you attempting to convey in your comment? And Blondiini, incredible sarcasm, what for?

Are we to accept that a public person can behave, in their public representative role, in any way they wish? With a monarchy the people do not choose who should represent them in charities, fashion, and diplomatic events. Surely the public has a right to at least comment without the retaliatory nonsense that appears here. The defenses are absurd, the attacks petty, and the praises frequently undeserved.

Are we not reasonable people who can make studied honest comments, including discussion. Not crazy people as I see here so often. For shame.

    2. Thank you for your comment Anon 19:09. It is a breath of fresh air to hear someone stand up for proper, reasoned debate.
Re your comments on Anon 11:20: I do not condone the comment, however, I am not at all surprised at the level of feeling in it. There has for too long been a history of spiteful, overheated attacks on Kate on this blog; and those longtime readers who believe that royals, just like any other person, should be treated with respect when criticized, are understandably fed up with the rudeness.
And Blondiini’s “faux criticsm” reply isn’t sarcasm, it is parody. It is an all-too-accurate take-off of contradictory criticisms that have previously been posted on this blog.
It is indeed a shame that so far every criticism of the Duchess on this blog has simply been a blatant personal attack - or else a controversial assertion with no supporting evidence. It will take a change in the way the critics make their comments, for the discussion to reach a polite and considered level.
If a commenter wants their words to be respected, they have to show respect themselves. Politeness is a two-way street. No-one can be rude, and then complain when they get an equally rude response back. What goes around, comes around. This rather obvious rule of everyday social interaction seems to be something that critics on this site seem to have forgotten. Anyone who wishes to make a criticism of anyone (this doesn’t just apply to royals) needs to ensure that:
1)Their comment is in the form of Constructive Criticism, and is respectful.
2)They provide evidence for their point of view. Bald assertions are pointless.
3)The commenter needs to be prepared to enter into vigorous debate on each point they make.
      What do you think?

    4. A24-4501:04, I am Anonymous19:03 and I agree entirely with your post. The reason I follow royals and not celebrities is for their leadership in fashion, decorum, and public service. In the USA we have no monarchy, and also not the fashion, decorum, and public service! So I hope to watch, learn, and of course I have an opinion as a woman, a mother of a daughter, and a citizen of the world.

A nod to you and the many ladies and gentlemen who read this blog.

  9. Constructive criticism and being just mean and rude are completely two different things. We can talk things we do not like, but permanent hate messages do nothing good. Some comments with name-callings here could get in my country even charge of defamation and this is very very liberal country.

All those things I wrote about before are just parts of real comments in this side, with my own little further lines. Catherine can never do anything right for some writers oppinion. Even the best things are turned always contrariwise. We can have pictures tread after thread and some particular writer is like parrot writing how lazy she is.

In my opinion William and Catherine have hard position; they are not exact next to line, they do not have certain well specified role. If they were next to line it would be much easier to handle publicity and works.
