Princess Mary and her family in Australia for christmas

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark arrived back in Australia on Sunday for the first time since 2013, ahead of a planned family Christmas in Tasmania. The Crown Princess was spotted at a Perth chocolate shop with her young family. She also stopped for coffee with her young daughter Josephine, her brother John and sister-in-law Leanne. Crown Princess Mary's brother John Donaldson lives in Perth.
The Australian-born royal was spotted with her brother John Donaldson, his wife Leanne and Mary's nieces as they stopped for coffee after a visit to a chocolate factory in Perth.
The Princess looked relaxed in a pair of dark sunglasses as she was snapped by a member of the public with her smiling family members - her young daughter Josephine, four, also appearing in the photo

C.P. Mary had a busy schedule, so it is nice she is able to take some time to see her family members in Australia.

Yes she's overworked. She had 13 official dutys last month, how long did they last..one hour? Except her trip to Senegal...and we worked 8h-21 days and still we have to work until christmas...even pregnant Victoria has dutys upto the 20th...so do the rest of the royals, but of course Mary is overworked and need 4 weeks holliday ;)

Of course Victoria sees her family everyday as do most of the other royals they don't need to travel for many hours to see them. To travel that far for a few days would be too much for the children, they need to get to know their cousins in Australia also. This is the first time that Mary has spent time with her family for Christmas for at least i3 years, Frederik and the children have never done this and you begrudge them spending this time.
The Grinch has certainly come early.

Long trips can be done during the summer, at christmas her family can take the trip to Denmark can't they? And have you ever heard about irony;)

  2. Yes,it is nice to think that occasionally royals get to do everyday, non-royal things, like going out and having takeaway coffee and icecreams.
However, it's too bad that we are only seeing these pics because of the paparazzi; I feel sorry that the family's private time is intruded on like this.

    1. They have the perks so they have to put up with the annoyances too. If she had married Mr. Smith or Mr. Brown, from London, say, she could visit her homeland 5 times a year and nobody would pay it any attention. It's a little like: "you do the crime, you do the time" - you marry into "royalty" you have to grin and bear it.

    2. Yes, while-ever media publishers pay photographers handsome sums for even the blurriest of on-the-spot pics, it seems that all younger royals have to somehow come to terms with being followed and spied on. I think some royals find it harder than others to take. The late Princess Diana seems never to have accepted being staked out 24/7 by the paparazzi -- progressing from tears of distress in her early days of fame, to directly confronting photographers and asking them to leave her and her sons alone. Which request was, of course, ignored.
The trade in illicit photos taken for profit without permission will continue as long as there are buyers. But if media owners agreed not to buy or publish such photos in the first place, what a difference that would make.

  3. She has a face expression I have never seen before. Maybe she doesn't "wear her crown" when in the home country :)

    3. When royals are off duty and happily incognito, and then suddenly discover that the paparazzi have been following them, it's no wonder that in those grainy pics taken without invitation by sneaky phone camera, they have a cold expression. Duchess Kate, Princess Madeleine, the then Princess Letizia and Charlotte Casiraghi are some who have also looked distinctly unimpressed when they have been snapped in similar circumstances.

I wish the Australian press wouldn't haunt them. They would probably be able to enjoy their visit more if they were treated they way they were before Princess Mary married Prince Frederik. Back then (excuse me) no one in Australia gave a damn who Prince Frederick was, and it was better that way, they could lead a normal life then, and everyone deserves "down time".

  10. Much as I enjoy seeing pictures of CP Mary, I don't like seeing her grumpy , which she is entitled to do in her own time, she seems to me to put a lot of work into her HRH job, so please give her some peace.
