A solo overseas trip for a princess of 3 months. I am impressed. More than I can say about a certain duchess.

What makes it worse, is that you are in no position to judge the duchess - unless you have direct first hand knowledge of how she is coping, which I am 99% certain you do not. Condemnation without facts carries no credibility....

Furthermore, I Am sure no one of us knows royals personally, but we can discuss, there's nothing wrong with that. Sofia didn't seem like a good choice for a princess because of her past, but it is nothing wrong with her now. Moreover, she will never be the queen of Sweden so her past doesn't really matter.

The comparison is entirely unfair. Every country's royal family conducts themselves differently, assign duties to their members according to their needs and protocol. There are many factors at play, many of which a casual observer does not understand. Perhaps also it is the case that Sofia is quite comfortable at speech making as she used to be on television and that is why she is doing it so soon after her wedding.

ردحذفDon't understand the ugly comment. I though the Duchess of York was on family leave. BPalace announced she would be on leave through the summer. Also, they announced she will be attending events this month, and later touring overseas.

ردحذفSofia is young, nit the best choice for princess but has a chance to be successful in her role. What I don't understand is why is the British r. family so popular-they don't show any respect by attending important royal events, wedding etc but hey attend wedding is the UK, George and Charlotte don't have royal godparents, Kate and William are less active than other royals but still more popular.. No one can deny these facts. Good luck to Sofia and Kate!

Sofia is a never will be queen. Victoria and Daniel saw to that with Estelle and now with their little one on the way, pushing Carl Philip back to fourth in line to the throne.
Kate will be queen CONSORT, she'll never rule in her own right. Difference between Sofia and Kate? Sofia works while Kate has become known to the public as duchess dolittle; whose only hard work was snagging a prince.
