Spain's Queen Sofia guaranteed Friday that her foundation will continue aiding research into Alzheimer's disease and carrying out social projects, after being honored in Germany with the Steiger Award.
The queen received the distinction, created in 2005 as a private initiative, in the town of Hattingen at a gala during which she was honored for her role in the fight against Alzheimer's.
