On November 2, 2026, King Abdullah II of Jordan inaugurated the third ordinary session of the 20th Parliament and delivered the Speech from the Throne. Queen Rania, Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Rajwa, Prince Hashem, Princess Muna and other members of the Jordanian royal family attended the opening ceremony in Amman.
For the occasion, Queen Rania wore a traditional embroidered Jordanian thobe by Funtazza Designs by Batool Al Abdullah, while Princess Rajwa opted for a blue floral-print dress by Temperley London.

Funtazza Designs Jordanian Thobe

This Jordanian Thobe is exquisit, work of art - but only version on the model. Rajwa looks naturaly elegant.
ReplyDeleteRajwa looks wonderful, her mother-in-law does not, in my eyes. I don't like either the version on the model - nor, or even less, the bloused-and-belted-up version on Rania. The sleeves (on the model) are distorting normal shoulder proportions without gaining anything that I would call a good look. If Rania does not want to wear the original on the basis of the occasion being a very formal one, then she could wear something entirely different.
ReplyDeleteÉlégantes toutes les deux même si préfère le style de la robe de Rajwa !
ReplyDeleteBoth ladies look lovely. But for me the photo of KA greeting his wife with such a loving and endearing look, with CP Hussein looking on,steals the day!
ReplyDeleteLowri.
After 30+ years of marriage they are still crazy about each other. Lovely to see!
DeleteI’m finding Rania’s outfit a bit “pirate chic”. I think it’s the voluminous blouse + flowing velvet vest. A beautiful feminine Halloween pirate outfit.
ReplyDeleteFully agree
DeleteI find Rajwa is even more elegant and stylish than Rania. Which says a lot
ReplyDeleteRania’s styling with the billowy blouse does look rather piratical, as Anon 21:11 noted. It is not my favorite look on her. Rajwa’s dress is somewhat better, but it looks rather constricting about her neck, and the floral fabric reminds me a bit of furniture upholstery. Rajwa’s hair is really lovely and nicely styled. I notice in these pictures that both ladies have excellent posture, even when seated.

"Piratical" is a beautifully adjectivised version of "pirate chic" and I'm loving both.
DeleteI agree that Rajwa's dress isn't her best look. The colour, fabric pattern and design aren't the best for her colouring and silhouette.
But yes, what superb posture they both have.
Pirate chic? Just because it's halloween? It's just an modified outfit that she wanted to wear. I think it's nice..lovely colour of velvet and beautiful embroidery
ReplyDeleteYou don't like my newly coined expression "pirate chic" ? I was pretty delighted with that one ;-) I definitely get Johnny Depp Pirates of the Caribbean vibes with the billowing sleeves and purple velvet!
DeleteHa! Pirate chic! Looking forward to more of this!
DeleteI would actually love if that took off as a winter 26/27 style. Pirate chic is brilliant!
DeleteThe queen looks like the 60s
ReplyDeleteRajwa looks splendid in this dress, its very flattering on her, elegant and suits her perfectly. The 2nd photo of her, close up is stunning. She is very photogenic, natural and authentic.
ReplyDeleteI love how the King is looking at the Queen in one of the last photos, beautiful. Her outfit, looks wonderful, its quite unique. I like the short version, but the longer version, wow! so elegant and gorgeous!
I don't like anything I see here. Queen Rania sometimes tries too hard to wear a combination of traditional style and western clothes. The result is poor. Princess Rajwa dress does not look good because of the color. A brighter color would have looked better. The sleeves of her dress are too wide, wider than on the model. The length is not OK and not elegant. A bit shorter would have been better.
ReplyDeleteAgree.
DeleteAucune des deux tenues ne trouve grâce à mes yeux. Elégantes, sans plus.
