On 23 October 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, accompanied by Crown Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, presided over the 2026 Princess of Asturias Awards ceremony at the Campoamor Theatre in Oviedo. Queen Sofía was also in attendance. For the occasion, Princess Leonor wore a dress by Hannibal Laguna, while Infanta Sofía wore a navy-blue dress by the Spanish brand Bruna.
This year’s laureates are Studio Ghibli for Communication and Humanities; Julian Barnes for Literature; Timothy Garton Ash for Social Sciences; Patti Smith for the Arts; Leo Messi for Sports; Christina Koch for Concord; David Klenerman, Shankar Balasubramanian and Pascal Mayer for Scientific and Technical Research; and the Svalbard Global Seed Vault for International Cooperation.
For the occasion, Princess Leonor wore a maroon dress by Hannibal Laguna, while Infanta Sofía wore a navy-blue dress by the Spanish brand Bruna.
Love love love the Hannibal dress. Sisters are best friends.
ReplyDeleteCP Leonor's dress doesn't fit. The dress is made to tight in the waist with the result that the waistline sits too high. The fabric of the dress is a quality which seems to wrinkle easily. The color is a beautiful warm red and suits the princess. Her earrings are stunning.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about Leonor's dress. I would add that her shoes are a mismatch (either wear them in the same colour as the dress and the handbag or change the handbag so that it coordinates with the shoes).

ReplyDeleteQueen Sofia looks just beautiful. Her pantsuit is divine. The jacket looks splendid, love the pattern fabric, very soft and elegant. The pantsuit fits beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI don't normally like tiered dresses, but this one is the exception, Infanta Sofia looks beautiful. Such a natural beauty.
Princess Leonor looks lovely, though there is a problem with the fit. I think possibly it could be the design of this dress. Her ruby and diamond earrings, stunning.
Queen Letizia looks beautiful, her outfit is interesting.
Both Queens look impeccable in their respective outfits. Infanta Sofia's dress is fine but sometimes it's better to preserve the original design.
ReplyDeletePerché l’infanta Sofia viene mortificata con abiti che, anche se molto belli, non sono adatti alla sua bellezza statuaria? E perché quelle scarpe piatte che non aggiungono eleganza? Dovrebbe osare di più con modelli adatti in primis alla sua età e poi perché ha un bel fisico e può permettersi tutto.
