Together with the other conscripts from the barracks in Slagelse, Princess Isabella of Denmark took part in the traditional REX tour this week. The demanding tour took place in Southern Jutland and lasted several days. When the conscripts returned to the barracks on Friday afternoon, they were all awarded the REX badge bearing His Majesty the King’s monogram.
The REX Tour is a longstanding military tradition in Denmark. It is a demanding field exercise that tests conscripts’ endurance and teamwork. Those who complete the tour receive the REX badge bearing the reigning monarch’s monogram.
Princess Isabella began her compulsory military service at the Guard Hussar Regiment in Slagelse on 3 August 2026. With the REX Tour now completed, nearly three months of her 11-month military service have passed, and she continues to serve.
